According to the Community Watch annual activities report for 2021, they handled 449 incidents of soliciting. I don't know what they actually did, but they did do something. Here a link to the annual report.

They have been doing this in the villages for 20 years he has a permit he is fast and efficient he sold 15 of my neighbors their Palm trees. They put them in within an hour take your old tree out. soliciting is allowadd on county streets. Even with our gate sticker that says no soliciting.

Who else is being bothered? Time for authorities to send them packing.
We bought 3 two years ago and they look great! We have a Sylvester, Robellini, and a Sago.

You should be careful who you purchase your palm trees from. Some of the trees could be from diseased stock or have grown poorly. A common tree I see purchased off these truck vendors is the “pencil point” Sylvester palms. The trunk narrows as it goes up to the leaves. These narrowed trunk diameters never become larger and they denote a palm that has had a tough time growing. They don’t have a pleasant appearance. Pay the money and buy a healthy, well grown palm from a reputable nursery.

They solicit in every new area. If you say, no thanks, they leave.

When we first moved to Marsh Bend guys came thru the neighborhood pretty regularly trying to sell trees. They were not pushy, did not get out of their vehicle, would just slow down to talk if we were outside. Several neighbors bought trees from them, and they are still healthy three years later. The gents seemed harmless and have moved on to other neighborhoods.

Our neighbor who is a native Floridian and avid gardener used these guys. Didn’t count the number but he bought a few of various types So we followed his lead and got one, a Robellini. That was 3 years ago. They are all beautiful and do just fine in our environment. The guy who sold them to us even returned later to show us how and when to prune. Awesome price for quality palms. Bottom line, these guys are not all bad. Unique Landscape is the name of the guys we used. Very nice and not pushy at all

Personally I learned & saw a lot from living in TV. I wouldn’t take a Palm Tree even if they gave it to me & planted it for free. They’re dirty & high maintenance. I agree with a lot of the comments. They’re probably not suited for this part of Florida. Besides TV trash pick up would have to pick up all the trimmings from these trees. Hope they get theses tree freeloads out of TV or they could be a problem!

Maybe this is the actual issue?? Perception is not always accurate.

Absolutely! They've come to my home twice. They are soliciting without a permit not to mention "No Soliciting" posted at the entrances!

I agree. My neighbors have beautiful palm trees that I can look at anytime I want.

These guys have been selling down here for going on 6 years now and I doubt you'll see one complaint about the actual trees that they planted. They dig these and sell them quickly. They used to have one guy sit at the intersection of Warm Springs and 301 where the hot dog guy would park and they sold out everything they had there every day. They must be doing something right, nothing wrong with saving people money on their trees.

My concern is not so much with the quality of the trees. Are these guys who are selling them out of their truck using the utility marking service? If not, are they going to be around to fix a sliced cable/power/irrigation line? Doubtful
