I drove fast, flashers on, and beeped when I had to on the way to the Emergency room. I also took no for an answer when the nurse told me to fill out a card and sit down. My friend now has his fingers and full use of his hand. I did not endanger anyone's life and was still driving safely. Also, I dare anyone out there to say they NEVER drove over the speed limit! Poppycock! You'll learn that this is not the right place to just vent. If you say blue somebody will come on here and say teal. Glad your pup is well.
Well said!

BUT.....there ARE an awful lot of really bad and selfish drivers in these parts.

No where did the OP say she was doing 100 mph. No where did she say she was driving even 5 mph over the speed limit. No where did the OP say she was driving reckless. No where did she post it was on Morse. Maybe she was, but all of those things were implied by others. Flashing lights and beeping horn do not equal reckless driving. It could, but just as likely it may not.

Why does everyone here have to twist what others post? It makes this forum more useless every time that is done.

Flashing lights and beeping horn do most cerrtainly equal reckless driving. It is distracting and intimidating for other drivers.

I think the issue not being discussed is whether it would make a difference to some if the being in extremis was a human being.

Standing back.

No. Hiding.

All true. But, that does not mean that we should assume that she was driving the speed limit. She did mentioned passing and trying to get to her destination quickly. No one is twisting anything. Some of us are simply pointing out that the actions described could easily lead to an accident. Some thing for everyone to think about.

"No one is twisting anything? Go back and read these posts.

Going 100mph?? OP never said that. Is that not twisting the facts?

Driving on Morse? OP never said that. Is that a twisted fact?

The facts are what was stated. What you "assume" is fiction.

The OP was apparently concerned that they
might be considered an AH by other drivers.
That says a lot about how they were driving!
They felt they were entitled to drive that way,
since in their estimation they had a legitimate reason.
Trouble is, if they had caused an accident their legitimate
reason wouldn’t mean squat, and their pet would not have recieved timely care!

Absolutely! But that being said ...All I believe she was saying was don't always assume the worst. Sometimes you don't have the whole picture. This is true all day, in every way. That cashier not smiling, may have just lost a parent, say Hi anyway. The "moody" bank teller , may be working her last week due to a lay off. Smile and say Hi anyway. Someday, it might be you frowning or not looking when you cross in the parking lot, and somebody will just wave or smile and let it go. They don't know you're thinking about your next chemo treatment and not paying attention. Lighten up...I believe her because she said it was so. She was not being an AH. End of story...for me.

Ahhhh, I was going to say 90%, but thought that was little high!!! drive 35 down MB or BV and see how many cars pass you. I admit I probably one of them keeping up with traffic.
