She can catch rays most any place. She chooses the pool which is her right, and it ought not be circumscribed.
I'm sure she has her reasons for choosing the pool, which are not my, or anyone else's, business.
My guess is she only enhances the beauty around the pool, which may harm the self-esteem of those that feel inadequate by comparison but that's their problem.

Hopefully I'll be dead and gone when they start playing 90s music at the squares. Unfortunately that is not the case in that some contemporary does get played.

The average age here in The Villages is about 68. The majority of people of that age prefer the music of the sixties. When the 90s generation gets to be 68 years old, I would expect that 90s music will be the norm.

So if there are thirty people at the pool and 29 are enjoying the music, they are a-holes because one person doesn't like it?

I understand what the rule is, but where is the common sense?

It's not necessary to repost the original post. We all are capable of remembering it. That's way worse than the music

I agree
With all the pools we have why not find one to your liking. It's like people who go to family pools and complain about the children playing, splashing and making noice. Hello...we have what are considered adult pools go there instead. Remember sports pools are for residents only.

Most people like music as long as it’s not to loud.

I was hoping to get an answer to this as it would certainly go a long way towards clearing some questions up.

Are there actual rules for bringing and playing music at the pools?

If it's just a question of the music being too loud? Does it only apply to music brought in from outside? Can the 'piped in' music be changed by those at the pools or is it controlled remotely?

I've been toying with the idea of trying to put together pool 'listening parties' of various shows/artists, so any help with these questions would be appreciated.

From what I've been able to dig up for actual rules, there's a lot of unanswered questions and I'd like to have my ducks in a row before bringing it up to those who would ultimately have the final word.

Thanks in advance for any assistance

Of course you could blare your favorite band, Tool, next time to get your point across. There’s probably only 2 of us in TV that actually like them, it’s sure to succeed.
Hmmm would a little Five Finger Death Punch be the answer here? I am probably one of the few here that like their music. We are fortunate enough to have our own pool. I still listen with head phones as I’m sure my neighbors aren’t fans. Thank you so much. I just got that Grandma/reindeer song out of my head two days ago!

You don't have to read the repost; just skip to the comment. Even Admin has come on here recently asking people to quote the post they are commenting on. It can get quite confusing when your post doesn't show up right under the post you're referring to.

It's a common courtesy, and apparently an Admin preference.

I think it was great he was playing Christmas music. Pools are for fun. I expect people and noise. They are not libraries. Music is up lifting. It doesn’t need to be excessively loud. It is better to have a type of music that is enjoyed by most people. Christmas music is enjoyed by most people. If most people didn’t enjoy music, they wouldn’t have it in the squares.

Sorry to hear you ran into selfish people . Good for you for checking and then asking them to abide by the rules . We must consider the source of people who lash out at us when were in the right to make a complaint to them about their inconsiderate and rude behavior of breaking the rules . Ear phones is still an option for them . Loud music on golf courses is also becoming more frequent as well .
