Good, the more the better. People drive way too fast in TV. The speed limit is 35 on most roads, not 50.

10 -15 over, poor guy, really. Is it still 15 over and you can be arrested for reckless driving?

There has been increased police traffic enforcement during the weekdays and primarily during the afternoon. I saw some poor guy get pulled over for maybe going 10 - 15 mph over the posted speed limit. I understand he was speeding a little, but really.

Which other areas of our community should I pay special attention when driving? Always be safe and please drive safely.
I don't think the Morse's condone traffic stops because it might deter some prospects from buying here and gives them a black eye. They don't like bad publicity.
And on the other side of the coin people who see this happening will buy here because they fell this makes it a safer community.

I wish LEO's would start making appearances on Enrique, Carzaraz, and Chapperell. No way most of these people are doing less than 45.

If this community really cared about the issues that arise, all would be at the count/state door to improve the roads conditions. All roundabouts are not safe. This needs to be re-engineered. Go to the state or county to discuss removing all round-abouts.

Too many people speed, there needs to be some kind of safeguards in place, if speed traps as they are called then so be it. Yesterday we traveled to SW Florida on i-75 I set my cruise at 70 MPH. Other drivers passed me as if I were standing still it’s nuts.

On other note this thread reminds me of Rt301 in Waldo Florida. Years back the local police force nailed people all the time because the limit would drop down to 25MPH in the town. As I recall they funded their entire department on the revenue from speeding tickets.

10-15 over the speed limit? Seriously, and you have no issue with this? Did you know, by law, if you are caught going 20 miles over you can be arrested on the spot?
Add the age of the driver, other influances, and Yes, 10-15 is an issue. Follow the laws!

I 'm not for unsafe driving nor am I anti-cop, but the next time you drive a little over the speed limit and you get ticketed, I'm confident that you will immediately seek the guidance of a ticket-attorney and fight that speeding ticket to the best of your abilities. So please don't be a hypocrite and state that all violators most be cited.
Hmmm. And further MMMMMMMMM.. In our house most of the time we don't call them "cop". The guy "passed you, only going a LITTLE faster than me.".???? I was a mother and a teacher. ARE you sure you didn't get the ticket? Just wondering.

In my life I got two citations for speeding.

I was.

doesn’t have roundabouts much safer then 4 way stops and traffic light , and in a study of traffic flow in a 15?minute period 385 cars moved through a 4 way stop 460 moved through in the same 15 at roundabouts , there is nothing hard about navigating a roundabout they have been on main roads In Massachusetts since I started driving and that’s 1954 , for some reason many villagers won’t take 10 minutes to read how to do these simple traffic movements

Absolutely. 95% of golf cart drivers are careful and courteous, but there are some cowboys out there that are a real danger.

Last week I was walking on the golf cart path that parallels El Camino Real. I always walk on the left side (I want to see what is coming toward me). I heard a cart behind me. All of a sudden there were TWO carts behind me. one passing the other. The moron doing the passing came so close to me that I could have reached out and touched his cart. He must have been going well over the 20 mph limit because it didn't take him long to disappear. I gave him the one-finger salute in case he was looking in his rear-view mirror.

"I saw some poor guy get pulled over for maybe going 10 - 15 mph over the posted speed limit. I understand he was speeding a little, but really."

What in your mind is required for a speeding ticket? Doing 100 in a 70 zone?

The people going 10-15 over the limit always expect you to clear the left lane for them even if it means you have to do a risky merge into slower right lane traffic. My attitude is "up yours." If I am in the left lane, I am going the speed limit or faster. I don't need to cater to every racetrack driver out there.

I remember a comment of my wife's when we first moved here. "What's their big hurry? They're RETIRED for Godsakes!"
