Unfortunately- for various reasons, it is not always possible to do everything early in the morning. I only asked you how you were able to able to golf 3 times a week, but you answered that by saying you golfed only in pairs, which I agree that would make it much easier. But again, that doesn't help the majority of golfers who golf in small to large groups. Just because it is easy for you to get a tee time for 2 still doesn't mean that it is easy for anyone else with more than 2. I still think that the parking area at Publix is crowded most of the time, and I never said anything about the driving range.

As far as the number goes, that was information quoted to me by a contractor who is employed by the Villages. I did mention that there are always some variables. Are his numbers correct?? I don't know, but if I had to believe someone, I would go with him. There is a LOT of information reported in the Daily Sun that I either don't believe or take with a huge grain of salt. Has anyone ever heard the same numbers quoted more than once for the number of houses sold?


The thing we all need to understand is that the posts on here represent only opinions and experiences. There is not 1 single person who is the final word on anything. No one has the right to say that I am wrong unless I try to say something is fact, and they KNOW me to be wrong 100%. And by the same token, I cannot say anyone is wrong unless I am 100% sure. I did not say for fact that TV sells 6000+/- houses a year, just that I was told that. The rest of what I said has been my experiences, and I stand by what I said. I feel that the Villages are crowded, and are going to get more and more crowded. Obviously, there are some ways to minimize the crowds. But no matter what, I still love living here.

I have no idea, but I believe it is only Sumter County, since that is when the original build out date was based on. This is prior to the purchase of the land in Lake County, Fruitland Park.

Snowbird seasion makes for more crowding, so one must paln accordingly.

Only Gary Morse knows what is going to be built here!!!!! I am confident he has plans to build more businesses, to suppot the influx of more people.
In time, any area will be built up, to accomodate the amount of reidents, in that area.

I'm sure they were areas, that when built, didn't have all the businesses near them as it is today. In time, the businesses, that will come to a particular area will make crowding more controllable, When the snowbirds leave, things will go back to normal.

If they are selling 3,200 plus NEW homes a year, presumably they are all in the same NEW areas where they are building which is south of 466A. That accounts for apx. 6,500 additional people yearly. I have been here two years and for sure see a difference with an additional 10,000 - 13,000 people added. If you figure this will be going on for another two or three years, that is an additional 20,000 plus people. Widening of roads is occurring and, in fact, new traffic patterns are emerging along with new golf courses and services...slowly...but the population will feel less crowed after things sort themselves and people aren't rushing down below 466A to view open houses, try new courses, see what's happening in Brownwood to try everything out in the new area. Even Eisenhower is a destination now for visitors. It isn't going to be a sleepy area but it should become less frenetic. That's my opinion..not supported by a darn thing.

The number of new and resales is in the paper about 4 times a week in the add with homes for sale. Last one had 5,397 between both and that number has been pretty consistent the last 2 years, up or down a few every time it's published. That means in the last 2 years on average everyday 7 days a week, about 14 homes are bought.
