I think like most crimes it's the “intent” that matters.
If no one can see it how is it indecency?

If a tree falls in the woods did it make a noise?

It could be public urination but there is a big difference between relieving yourself on the side of a Circle K wall and hiding behind a tree on a golf course where no one can see you or it.

How would someone be offended at something they didn't actually see?

Are you actually offended because of the mere thought of it?

So your thoughts are offended?
You nailed it.

Not only did you nail it, all the disingenuous, phony arguments and protestations from the male posters, is mind boggling. If you polled 1000 men, 999 of them would admit that at some point, they've gone behind a tree, a car door, dumpster, whatever. It's what we do, because we can.

It boggles my mind, that women are the first ones to defend their right to breast feed in public (as the should), but they're going to complain that a guy is urinating behind a tree, 500' away from them?

Anecdotal story. The 16th hole at Southern Hills Plantation in Brooksville, FL (a great course to play, only about an hour from TV) is a gorgeous, dogleg Par 5. The Tee Box is surrounded by a 50' "no cut buffer zone" of dense trees. A perfect place some late round relief.

A lawyer and his wife, bought the home closest to that Tee Box and apparently in the dead of night, cut down all the growth in the Buffer Zone, to provided themselves with a "view of the golf course" ... and of the 16th Tee Box. Apparently the wife isn't thrilled with her current view and nary a day goes by, she doesn't file a written complaint with the Club.

There are signs on every hole leading up to the 16th, to use the "facilities" on the 15th Tee ... which are locked, 24 hours a day. Members usually know the combination to use it, Guests are usually at a loss.

Cool Peeing off!!!

How about converting the divot hole repair seeder as a porta john. At the right height, no one has to know what the gentleman standing behind or to the side of the golf cart is doing. Can't help you with number 2's. You are SOL.

So according to this logic:

it doesn’t count that I blew through a stop sign, because I “intended” to stop, officer. And doesn’t the manner in which I went through it, it was really fast so I wouldn’t hit anyone, count? And no one saw it, does it matter then, only your red light camera caught it.

So, in your opinion, which of those excuses would result in me being let off a ticket?

Driving a 2000 to 5000 lb vehicle is quite different from peeing behind a tree on a golf course.

I have seen dog owners doing it at a dog park but people have to poop and pee too.

I think they depend on Depends for poop, though.

Most older men have enlarged prostate and with the heat, we need to drink lots of water and then relieve ourselves frequently. Medications work only so well.

Yes, I use the restroom before teeing off and never pass a restroom on the course without using it, doesn't matter if I have to go or not.

Nothing worst than trying to play golf when your bladder is busting.

If I’m playing with a group of men I just go behind a tree no questions asked but if a woman is in the group I feel like this is risky and she may make a big issue out of it.

I’m not talking about a possible family golf environment but an adult golf environment.

Also, what is the TV/developer policy on relieving oneself on their golf course?

I’ve never seen a rule stating it's prohibited, maybe legally it could be urinating in public or indecent exposure but that is my concern with women that they may be offended and actually call the Sheriff.

Who knows maybe even a man would make a big issue and call the authorities.

No diaper or a bag answers will be accepted as it’s rare and doesn't happen that often but when it does I gotta go.

Thoughts?
when you gotta go, you gotta go,

of course the trees need watering. it is impolite and rude to wiz in where people could see you streaming. it is proper to stand close to a tree or another barrier to block the view so as not to offend any normal person.

I've wizzed in the middle of the road on back roads - no cars in sight, no homes or businesses in sight.
Keeps the dust down in the summer, thaws the ice in the winter.

Among other things, it is amazing to me that otherwise considerate and entertaining individuals don’t mind grossing people out. One has to plan ahead for these situations. If you know you can’t hold it long enough for an event you are attending, don’t drink before hand, or get a diaper, and figure out what you can socially do IF you need to.

Yes... Don't drink water while playing golf...

Prepare the ambulances...

Sorry, but one size does not fit all.
For #2, sand traps work well. They even have a rake to cover the, evidence, when you finish

Yes. Straight to the nearest restroom, I sincerely hope.
I would hate to be the player that has their ball land in your urine and get splattered when trying to play the ball out of the wet grass.

So what about wildlife urine and waste?

You have a better chance of winning the Powerball or being eaten by an alligator than landing in the exact spot where someone just relieved themselves.

So overdramatic.

1. We are talking about humans. Not wildlife, space aliens, etc. The subject is humans choosing to relieve themselves in public for convenience when facilities are near at hand. Same as dropping you trash on the grass rather than taking it to the nearby trash receptacle. Plain laziness and lack of personal responsibility.

2. The odds may be small for me to win the PowerBar, but, it isn't just about me. It's about leaving your filth where it doesn't belong. Civilized behavior. The course designers were kind and thoughtful enough to build toilets, suggest we use them as intended.

3. "So overdramatic." ? Really? Not hardly. No bold type, italics, nothing but a few simple words to try and make my point.
