I blame it on global climate change. We never used to have such frequent and intense wind. Also the multimillion dollar multinational companies that build these carts with slave labor in some third world country could have designed them so that they would have compliant corners so as to not damage cars. It's the 1%ers making a fortune on these carts that don't care about the people's cars.

Or maybe padded cars. These would protect cars from all sorts of abuse from shopping carts, golf carts, bicycles (whom/what have I left out?), and just about any other form of chronic autoabusal disease.
