Default Rittenhouse trial prediction

Let's get people on the record before the verdict comes in.
This is your prediction of what the jury will do - not what you want the jury to do.

The choices are

Guilty on all counts
Guilty on some counts
Not guilty
Hung jury

Guilty on some counts (one - possession of a firearm by a minor).

I predict that no matter which way things come out, half the population will be pi$$ed off.

I predict this this kid's life will be changed forever. Just like the OJ trial his family (because he was a minor at the time) will be sued for wrongful death, and lose everything they ever had. I also suspect someone will confront him, he'll make some 18yo comment to them, they will say they were threatened and kill him. They will have witnesses, and will walk Scott free.

Unlike the OJ trial, those "victims" actually attacked Rittenhouse. Their chance of success in a civil suit is zero...

Less than half. Then a year or two wait until the Baldwin trial(s)

Yet another TRIAL BY RIOT. In any case assuming he is found guilty to avoid riots there are huge grounds for an appeal. A fair trial? While you are supposed to get that he is being tried in the press. YOU would not want to be in his shoes.

He should've thought about that the moment before he brought his rifle into the car and made the trip to the riot.

And being only 17 and a typical stupid punk-arse kid, he woopsied on that decision. So having gotten to the riot and realized what a sh.*show it was, he should've hauled butt right back into the car. Another stupid decision on his part.

So - he'll have to live with knowing that he is "THAT GUY" for the rest of his life. If he doesn't like it, he could just plead guilty on all counts, GO to jail, where he can live the rest of his life in relative anonymity.

So nice of you to describe someone you don't know that way...

It seems to be contradictory to try him as an adult for murder, but to also charge him for possessing a firearm as a minor.

You get an A for trying.
But, as you suspected it has turned into another debate........and what posters want the verdict to be.
