Not sure they can do that at this late stage as it's not really fair to the defense. The defense prepared for a trial with specific charges being made. Their defense may have been somewhat different if lesser charges were made.

I agree it’s unfair and grounds for appeal along with constitutional missteps by the prosecutor.

The mothers and fathers of the five 7 to 11 year old little boys molested by Rosenbaum would disagree with you. You do know he was imprisoned for the crimes?

Actually, Rosenbaum was shot in the flank (back). That is because Rittenhouse fired 4 times and he turned as he was being shot... But they also stated he was falling forward when he was shot, not running away

It has no bearing on anything, since it does not, in any way, show that Rosenbaum was trying to run away... Or that Rittenhouse chased him. The video evidence is crystal clear on that...

I think you are missing the point, If he acted in self defense he was justified, law suite , sure but unless he has deep pockets no reason, unless some lawyer want to get their name out there and do it pro bono.
