isn't it wonderful to have nothing to do but get in a tizz over how someone parked a golf cart in a community of 100,000. We take the cake, don't we?

I agree. It's a whole other world here, with so much to see and experience that a 6-day lifestyle preview stay didn't even come close to being enough time to grasp it.

And with the cart, I didn't drive it much on LSV for fear of doing something wrong. When we moved into our place and got our own cart, it was at least 2 weeks before I felt comfortable driving the cart to LSL. It was about 5 months later that we drove the cart to Spanish Springs, led by neighbors.

grimacing...we're nearly up to 1000 people reading about a sign put on a golf cart. We are embarrassingly trivial, aren't we? I mean I'm reading this and posting...

Says who? Quote me the law that says this is correct. One cart is no different than one motorcycle to a spot. It's a real pain in the behind trying to get a cart so close to the lines and then have car drivers upset you're too close to their cars and then you can't get out with your cart. I park one cart to a space and until the laws state otherwise I have no intention of doing differently unless the spaces are marked for carts. I do park 2 to a spot if I am with another person on a cart where we can get closer together. I didn't move here to be told what to do according to what someone else thinks unless there is a law on the books to back them up.. A coward that wants to leave a note on my cart which is my private property had better have a really good reason why or hope I do not see them and I usually do keep an eye on my cart if possible.

Best Advice: Park where you want and can and leave other people's parked carts alone and don't be telling anyone how that must park. NO ONE has the right to tell anyone how they must park or has the right to put a note on it because they think they parked wrong. They do have one and only one option to call law enforcement if they feel it is illegally parked.

If you want to park 2 carts to a spot that's fine, do it, be happy in your own head you did, and leave it at that.

I'll take a NYC driver anyday, over a Florida driver. NYC drivers know how to drive, (they have to, to survive) LOL, and certainly know how to park. The only NYC people who don't have cars, are SOME of those that live in Manhattan. This is due to scarsity of public street parking, and the really expensive private parking there. However, having lived in New York for over 60 years, until I moved to TV, I do know many of those that live in Manhattan and still own and drive a car. In NYC you MUST know how to parallel park.

I will go along with that. But I wish they'd stop turning left from the right-had lane, though, or squeezle up the opposite direction lane, cut in front of someone, and make a left-hand turn

For sure it is silly.. But when some here have become so overbearing and think they are so empowered they can correct others and start messing with their private property it could become dangerous to them.

The first time I drove a golf cart was two years ago when I rented in Chatham. The owner of the rental house was nice enough to have a friend of his give me a one hour golf cart lesson-golf cart orientation. When I have rented since 2011, I have always been very conservative and careful with the golf carts that come with the rental houses, and when I return for my LSV next month, I will be careful with the cart that comes with the LSV. Hopefully the visitors who received the less than welcoming note on their golf cart will realize that not everyone in The Villages is so unfriendly.

I Would beware of any self appointed vigilante. A normal person would have paid no attention or at the most left a note saying PLEASE HELP US GET MORE PARKIN BY SHARING PARKING SPOTS WITH ONE MORE CART. THANK YOU.
Saying CART HOG is assuming and aggressive.

What is Vigilante Justice?

Made them wonder if this really was "The Friendliest Hometown"

It would have been much nicer if someone would have just explained to them what they did, instead of putting a sarcastic card in their cart.
Sorry to hear about this. There are always some jerks in any group of people no matter how friendly the rest may be.

Besides, it's not Golf Cart Hog; it's Parking Space Hog. They can't even get their rude right.
