Sometimes I don't think it's so much as being stupid as possibly being confused as to where you can drive your golf cart.

We have all seen the driver who can't stay in their lane when circling a roundabout--why would anyone on a bicycle trust their safety to be alongside any vehicle, especially when they are part of a chain of numerous riders--remember if you tie--you lose

Would have been smart to include a proper, foot crossing, when they redesigned that intersection.
Lot's of people park carts and try to cross on foot while dodging traffic.

no safer than yours or mine.

They get there two carts ahead of us.
lsv carts are far safer than a golf cart. safety windshield, stronger frame construction, 4 wheel hydraulic brakes, windshield wipers, seat belt harness, etc etc

We cannot have everything we want. It is TOO expensive for the rest of us who don't want it.

While there are SOME LSV brands they may be measurably safer than your typical golf cart, most LSVs are just your basic golf cart frame and drivetrain with a few safety add-ons that can be added to a standard golf cart. All/most LSV brands do NOT have stronger frame construction, 4 wheel hydraulic brakes, windshield wipers, seat belt HARNESS. Your basic LSV has a single piece polycarbonate windshield that can be added to any basic golf cart, rear drum brakes only, the exact same frame as it's golf cart counterpart, NO wipers, and a lap seat belt.

The man who died this week on Bella Cruz. was driving the cart with a real body, 3 way seat belts-but there is no way a 800 lb cart can survive being broadsided by a pickup truck & most important a traumatic stop that would injure a 30 year old most likely will be fatal for a person 60+--this is what I learned from my most recent AARP safe driving course--seniors bodies tend to go into shock quicker--

I'm laughing at this one ..... thinking that we should judge others for their behavior.

Likely we are well off to respect that others make decisions different than we do and leave it at that. They are as accountable as we.

Damn right they will!

Actually it could be somewhat of a security issue and of course against the law.

I have never heard or seen police stops of anyone crossing rolling acres?

Unless it's a real "slow policing day" I don't see police officers spending much time watching for golf cart violations or, for that matter, bicycle's either. You could write a hundred tickets a day enforcing Bicycle's who rarely stop at stop signs and same with golf carts. Do want your local police to patrol these areas for violators or would you rather have police officers doing more important challenging police work?

Think about it. You can walk across Rolling Acres Road or ride a bike across but can't legally drive your golf cart across the road. Really, are any of these safe? For that matter, the way the entrance to the strip mall is designed, it's hardly safe for a car. Fore!
