Add on a birdcage and put your storage lockers there. Anything goes under a birdcage.

After all of that are they even allowed? I do not see any around. Thanks you all for answers. Bud
Are they "allowed?" No. They are not permitted, and your deed restriction will show a line item specifying this. It's not ambiguous at all. Sheds, detached storage containers outside the house are not permitted, at all. You can't technically even have a storage bench though many people do.

I'm guessing that your house has more than one bedroom. Turn the other one into a craft room. That's what most people who have crafters do down here.

OP, no idea what the crafts are but you will also have to worry about bugs if you use a shed. IMHO, a shed is not a good idea even if it was allowed. The garage is marginal due to heat and bugs. In the house is the best solution, possibly under the bed storage, or some other clever ideas.

A plastic shed in this heat and sun I'm sure would pretty much destroy whatever you put in it.

If crafts have paper, the heat and humidity will make some of unusable, stored in the garage, a shed (not allowed unless you have a CYV) would be even worse.

There are many AC storage units near TV. I have friends that have units, with their desk, and they pre craft sometimes at the unit. Then bring home to complete. Have seen many who take the smaller bedroom, make the closet into a craft storage, put in a wall bed with storage and a desk. So if you have guests it’s covered.

What you will experience here is cockroach’s love paper. If it’s there they will find, make disgusting messes, and everything will be ruined, Some bins don’t keep them out. Had an inexpensive bin in our garage, they somehow got in with the lid closed. So much damage had to throw everything out including the bin.

I have a hobby of building plastic scale models and need not only a place to store but to work on them so I had a split AC installed in the garage and that work great. Check to see what you have for attic storage and put as much as you can there to help clear space in the garage. Another option to consider is enclosing your lanai. I you might be sacrificing some living space but if you need something climate controlled it might be your best bet. I have a fellow villager who's wife does crafting as well and they have really pushed the limits of their model, and they have a large home. If you are moving permanently you might need to make some life style choices or as others have mentioned look for a bigger house. Good luck and Welcome!

Here’s what I have done for extra storage - redesign the closet in your second bedroom , and install shelving from bottom to top. For items that can withstand the heat, I purchased two large, attractive shelving units with doors from Costco and installed them in my garage. Downsize as much as possible! It’s great not having a ton of “stuff” to manage.

Lots of people park in their driveways, what is the problem with that?

I live alone in a courtyard villa and have a 1.5 car garage. When I moved in I brought with me a number of Rubbermaid plastic storage units from a larger home with a 2 car garage. They stick out from the wall about 16”, and they are around 6’ high. These will hold a lot of plastic storage bins for crafts, extra home supplies like paper towels and Kleenex and toilet paper, etc.

BUT, these are NOT stock cabinets, which have plastic shelves that will deflect with eight on them. The owner before me was a good handyman, and he replaced all of those plastic shelves with 1/2” plywood shelves screwed onto 1 x 2” pine along three sides, which are in turn attached with screws through the outside of the cabinets. I have some relatively heavy things on some of those shelves, and they aren’t bending. These are fine. I would not use plastic shelves. They seem so flimsy and tacky. Your wife will not be pleased. An alternative is brackets into the studs in the garage and pine shelving. This works well if you have all the craft supplies in plastic bins.

Good point lol. For sure if it is at an ABnB T V Community Standards will let it stand. No one seems to have any ka-whoonas when it comes to ABnB's so set up an ABnB account, put up a she/shed and craft away. Cleaning services can come in daily to tidy up.

you can put just about anything in your backyard, but it must be below the top of the fence. To be sure, contact the district office and ask
