The impatient person was impatient long before the other (slower) driver entered the picture. Impatience, like anxiety, is a condition a person needs to learn to control lest they find themselves wondering why the world is populated with idiots and slow drivers.

I disagree. The speeding or impatient driver is the problem. Blaming others because they are moving slower than you desire is not the correct solution. The correct solution is to RELAX. Wait until it is safe to pass or the slow cart exits. Do not blame others because you need to be somewhere and are running late. Leave your home earlier next time. Take responsibility.

That is not true - Slow drivers ‘just as dangerous as speeders’ 19 killed and 1,500 injured in past decade | Regit

The article was out of the UK. It would be interesting to see US numbers.

The other factors are like.y to be exactly the same factors in play when excessive speed is cited. In the cases used for the article, police deter that slow speeds contributed to the accidents,

I bumped my EV cart to 25. Not so I could speed. Just to be able to pass those that want to enforce a 15 MPH speed limit. Please. Go as slow as you want. But please pull over so those that want to go faster can pass you.

Perhaps in your mind.. AI Overview
Speeding causes significantly more fatal and severe-injury accidents in the United States than slow driving. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (.gov) Crash Severity: Higher speeds reduce a driver's reaction time, lengthen stopping distances, and drastically increase the kinetic energy and severity of a crash. If it's a 25mph speed limit and someone is going 15, then yes that'd be the polite thing to do - pull over and let the faster person pass.

But if the speed limit is 20, and you want to go 25, then suck it up and wait until you can. And then knock your socks off.

You own an unregistered motor vehicle. Operate, even at 18mph on a county road, and you risk a big fine and court appearance.

The correct solution is for NOBODY to be slugging along at 12 mph

Not in "my mind". According to multiple insurance industry and law enforcement sites. Just Google it.

Again, blaming other drivers is not the answer. You commented in other posts that no one but the police can enforce the speed limit of SPEEDERS. It is not the job of individual drivers. It works both ways! It is not your job to enforce the speed limit of SLOW drivers. Your can not obstruct them. Just like speeders, they are out and about every day. As a driver, it is your responsibility to be aware. When you encounter a slow driver, pass when safe to do so, or wait until the cart makes a turn.

Relax! The few minutes of waiting will not ruin your day. Turn on your favorite music, enjoy the good weather, have a great conversation with the one seated beside you, execute a plan B, etc. Getting your ire up will not benefit anyone. Especially, you.
