I agree in part, with the OP.
However, I'm also getting very sick and tired of being judged for going out and getting on with my life. I get dirty looks, rude comments and more when I go to the store because I'm not wearing a mask. I do not wear this garb because I already had covid and have had an FDA approved antibody test showing that I have the antibodies.
Before you judge people, think about what you DON'T know about them. Maybe if everyone just worried about themselves, we'd have a more harmonious community.
Very happy to hear that you recovered from Covid. I'm sure then, that your'e very well versed. Unfortunately, we all get judged at times for one reason or another. However, wearing a mask while shopping can offer protection to others as well as the one wearing it.
Stay safe!

Go for it! Just don’t ask hospitals to take care of you if you get sick.

How about taking a walk, run or jog? Sit outside and read. Ride in the golf cart.

I've read this forum for 7 years, but never actually signed up and posted because I watched in dismay how many first time posters were treated.
Everyone here had a first post.
Have a nice day!

Does the fact that one has spent many hours on this site expressing their opinion make their opinion right, better, or more worthy?

We stopped playing PB long before The Villages closed the courts. I understand that many want to wait until every last bit of this virus is gone and that’s ok. But there is a time where we as retirees or people who are still working to support themselves and their families need to begin to get back to normal life. With such a limited number of cases in The Villages and tri county area and with social distancing it is my OPINION that we can begin to get outside and start our lives again.

They will also be quick to try to run your life.
These are not Villages rules —they are CDC recommendations

Can not vouch whether you had it or not but if you did, you should know that having antibodies has not been proven to be any protection from not getting it again or even passing it on to others.

As for me, I'll take my chances out in the fresh air with others who enjoy playing senior softball. Yes I'll be taking a risk, but it needs to be my choice. As for those of you who wish to condemn my attitude as reckless I say MYOB. I know there will be many who will say this is selfish, I say it's more selfish to sit comfortably at home while Millions of young families struggle without work, without money, without hope.
No political slams plz. And...doing these activities should not be at the expense of others and their health.

Never said that but when all of a sudden in this thread (including the OP) which is obviously intended to "inflame" (TROLL) all these new people show up. There's been DOZENS of threads like this one so where were they then? Sorry, if it looks like a fish and smells like a fish it's fishy. I'd love to see the IP of all these "random" new posters as I hardly think they would use a VPN.

I prefer to go out and socialize and get on with my life.
This pandemic won't go away until an effective vaccine is developed.
We are ALL going to get exposed to Covid at some time in the future,
and most all of us will survive.
Those who wish to hide at home and minimize their social exposure,
are well within their rights to do so just as those who want to venture
out and get on with life.
Shutting down the economy is the worst thing to happen...
The Swedes have it right.
