He wasn’t talking about the coronavirus, you can count on it. Taking something out of context is misleading.

Death toll from coronavirus likely understated, data suggesting
These increases belie arguments that the virus is only killing people who would have died anyway from other causes.
By Josh Katz , Denise Lu and Margot Sanger-Katz New York Times
Total deaths in seven states that have been hard-hit by the coronavirus pandemic are nearly 50% higher than normal for the five weeks from March 8 through April 11, according to new death statistics from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. That is 9,000 more deaths than were reported as of April 11 in official counts of deaths from the coronavirus.

All you crybabies on here bitching about the Government taking away your rights, really? Have you found another country yet that listens to you whiners and gives you more freedom? Didn’t think so. Enjoy what freedoms you have here in the US and stop the incessant whining about losing your rights.

You people sound like the younger generation that never got told no and never got their ass whipped at home.

Mr "Sage" - you totally don't get it. The very reason we maintain our freedom in this country is because we fight to protect them. That includes what you refer to as "bitching about the Government taking away your rights"

You mean the rest of the country and the world had no constraints like this??. I must be listening to the wrong newscasters. LOL. Thanks for this. Some people just don't get it and I guess that's ok for them. You know what they say about Karma.

I feel there is a point where our right to choose how we live our own life is violated, and this may be close to that. I'm not saying that I, personally want to do anything different than what's being recommended, but I would like the right to choose. We're allowed to do many things that endanger our lives and the lives of others every day. Do you drive a Car? Ride a motorcycle without a helmet? (allowed by law in FL not in many other states) You're allowed to drink alcohol and even partake of illegal drugs (well, not by law, but we all know you can do it) and THEN get into a car and drive. How many just alcohol related deaths are there every year?.

My point is we're allowed to make these choices when controls could easily be instilled to disallow them. Stop the distribution / use of alcohol. Mandate motorcyclists wear helmets (like other states). Limit manufacture of vehicles that can exceed 45 miles per hour. How many lives would be saved if our government enacted those restrictions?

How is that 'fighting' working for you with seat belts, speed limits and not smoking in public venues? Maybe consider that not wearing a mask - when distancing is not possible - as endangering someone else's health like second-hand smoke does - or maybe you know that's just another 'plot' to inconvenience or control you.

Here it is golfer who probably hasn’t missed day.

I bet you would be crying different tune if there was NO golf for 6 days let along 6 weeks.

No, Anybody has To right to speed and many people do, many people don’t wear seatbelts, and smokers smoke where they want to. Now if you get caught you have to face the consequences, if you don’t have good lawyer.

I'm sorry, but much of what you say is opinion, untrue or at least unproven. I have found nowhere that US deaths from the lockdown will exceed those from the virus. Also, cancer or heart surgeries are not considered elective and are being delayed because medical personnel and/or hospital space is being used for COVID patients. Maybe there have been recent years when the flu has led to more deaths than this virus has so far, but keep in mind that there have been extreme, unprecedented measures taken to limit the spread of COVID-19 and even so, this pandemic is not likely over.

The other thing to bear in mind is that the OP wasn't so much concerned with those suffering from loneliness, depression or lack of income as he was about not being able to take advantage of The Villages amenities.

You DO NOT have the right to speed, or anything else you state. Yes, you have the ability, but if you had the right, there would be no consequences.
