I was going to let it go because I'm getting tired but.... a couple of things that I want to say - 1. A new buyer NEEDS to know the rules in only 1 district, the one he buys in! That's because he is signing that he will follow them. And 2. We are up to 14 numbered districts now.... not 13.

Isn't it true that even if a report is made, the authorities check things out themselves before any action is taken? And if so, then how is this any different (except in degree, of course) than calling the cops when you see someone acting suspiciously, or reporting a shoplifter to the store manager?

I can see where this would be irritating, maybe a major inconvenience if the the authorities verify that that they're in violation of something and are required to make it right. But aren't they doing all of us (except the violators, of course) a favor?
I disagree. If you get turned in no one looks at your property. You get a call and are told you have 7 days to fix things. Unfortunately these ladies may have a different interpretation of the rules and nothing needs to be done but they stuck their nose in the way.

Gary you are 100% wrong. There is absolutely no action taken based on a complaint until the reported violation is verified, VERIFIED, by Community standards. It is the district which then enforces the deed violation. I never cease to be amazed at the lack of knowledge some people have and how certain they are in their disagreement.

Here is one explanation of many easily found using Google for how it works.

Architectural Review Committee - The Villages

scroll down to the middle, my bolding
"Role of Community Watch
The other division in Community Standards is Deed Compliance--Public Safety, including Community Watch, does NOT look for deed violations. If a violation is reported, this is the department that investigates and determines the steps necessary to create compliance."

Here is another from the alternative online website that shall not be named from April 2021, again easily found with Google

"Residents who observe a possible violation should not assume someone else reported it. Contact Community Standards at 751-3912 and if the violation is verified by the Deed Compliance Officer, staff will begin its process to bring the property into compliance."

I have no idea what that means. I, with all sincerity, would understand if English is a second language for you? or perhaps a language based learning disability which makes your postings so difficult to interpret. Please take a little more time to proof read and we will all gain more from your ideas.

Hence, if you want to throw some fud (fear uncertainty and doubt) on the trolls in the minds of the Deed Compliance Office, then my plan would be highly effective. just takes some team work and surveillance

There have been several threads and posts of these ladies with clipboards in golf carts. But there has been zero photos of these mysterious ladies.

So without a photo, you believe they are an urban legend? Suppose someone just randomly selected a golf cart with two women to take a photo? Since there are many such examples, a photo would be a moot point, UNLESS it showed them taking notes on a clipboard. Whether you believe the OP or not is totally up to you and whatever criteria you require as evidence of someone's statement.

My club has been working on planning a scavenger hunt.
We have approx 6 people out & about, looking for items to include in the hunt with hints. Don't be so quick to judge. (to the original poster)
Three of the clubs I am in are each doing different scavenger hunts in different areas.

I was once approached by Community Standards for a small garden flag. I moved it so it was under the footprint of my home which therefore made it legal. Now think about it for one moment. I could have had the IDENTICAL flag in a large version and fly it from a pole on my house. Now tell me where that makes any sense at all???

I don't have any ideas how many trolls exist, but I do know it is a pathetic way to spend your life reporting your neighbors because they may have a lawn ornament or a bush out of place, of that I am certain.

If you are on your neighborhood website, someone will post pics. But only 3 have posted pics on this site, by long time posters.

One would think they would use different cart, but guessing they either don’t realize they aren’t as stealth as they think, or don’t care. There are very clear videos of the red cart clipboard people, taking photos of their home. Our old neighborhood site posted multiple clips and photos, thanks to outside cameras.

Same ladies that have had their pics taken at other neighborhoods. Within 10 days you were visited by TV complying or fined.

I actually feel a little sorry for them, Sad life that all you have to do is drive miles to other neighborhoods, to find things that may or may not be a compliance issue, write down address, and what they found, then return home. File online. Wonder if they return to see if TV is actually confirming their lifestyle event
