Soon i hope neighbors will ask for my services!

No, I don't think so. Actually, you will find lots of folks who think this is a good idea. That is why you find so many web pages that try to correct this misconception.

Default My experience

While I am positive Hollander was spoofing, let me say (not joking) that when we had a yellow Lab back in PA, we had an invisible fence around our large property, and did NOT pick up our dog's poop. There was higher and greener grass in all the areas where he did his business. We never rolled around in our yard (who does?!), and we never got sick!

My husband worked for a kennel years ago, and the owner dumped all the excrement in a garden and the tomatoes were huge!

Here in TV, I walk my terriers on the road to a common area and always pick up and bag their business. I am tired of the dog poop threads and can't believe how irate people get over them... but I am always respectful of the people around me. I wish everyone was! I enjoyed the humor!

I'm thinking about starting a club for fellow dog walkers who want to stop picking up their dogs poop and would like to follow my golf shoes example. My estimate is about 100 new "grass planting spots" within a mile of my house already and if more villagers join me we might be able to cover the entire Villages!!

Hollander, stop teasing the other kids.
Go to the Principal's office right now.

Well today, being April Fools Day, is a good day to say of course the golf shoe/dog poop idea is just a joke! I joke about the dog poop threads because I have been blessed to live a long life. I am still married to my high school girlfriend, have been blessed with healthy children and grandchildren and if I went on with all the things I have to be thankful for I would be here for hours. So when I walk outside and the sky is blue, and I have been blessed with yet another wonderful day on this earth, I do not worry about the small things in life. So my suggestion is if you really find yourself getting your blood pressure up about a small pile of dog poop just relax, smile, take a deep breath and go on enjoying your day. Or just get a pair of your old golf shoes and some grass seed......:-) Happy April Fools Day Everyone!!
