If folks aren't happy they can move somewhere where they can be involved or run for mayor or city council if that is what they like.
Most people who move here want to RETIRE from running things and just sit back and enjoy this very well run place.
But not all. No. Not all.

Amen Gracie! It irks me that folks come here and decide they don't like it...becauses of "powers that be". When we were thinking about making the move the agent told us about the development and the developer and after the move we went to the newcomer meetings. We had it pretty much sorted out and decided this was a really great place to retire to and live in. I guess there will always be "complainers" and folks who just aren't happy. We attended the "said" meeting and didn't get at all what the OP is saying. There is "no" mystery and "no" conspiracy that's out to get the residents.
