Resurfacing????? Aren’t those roads almost new, and never exposed to snow, ice, road salt, and plows. If properly paved the first time shouldn’t they last many many years?

Not resurfacing, more like a sprayed on treatment that does make a huge mess.

Wonder how long the original guarantee was for? Reminds me of the windmill by Brownville

They are re-sealing the asphalt to extend the life. Makes a horrible mess for a week or two.

It is a preservative. Not re-surfacing. Been doing it for the last several years. It is messy. But eventually the mess goes away. Including the tracks on your driveway.

Wonder if they told the locals what they would be dealing with?

They did that coating on the streets where I live. Some people drove on the roads right away leaving tracks. I didn't move my car out of the garage for a day and a half and had no problem.

Yes...

2 weeks ago, flyers were placed on our doors indicating roads would be treated on Tuesday, Sept 6.

Alas, only a few streets were done by Magnolia Plaza before the equipment broke down.

On Sunday, we were informed that our streets off Spurlock would be done, today, Sept 12.

They were.

Many of use parked at Edna's during the day, and stayed off the streets for a few hours.

I warned our neighbors to be ready. Some parked their cars at Edna's, or parked their golf carts close by Edna's so streets did not need to be used.

It was suggested to stay off the roads for 48 hours to reduce tracking the muck.

Also suggested to stay off driveways for two days.

The daily rains help wash it off but the runoff can't be good for critters in the ponds.
