Did you move here from California?

I miss my cousins and since we came from a small town, that included a lot of the town....the joke that people from a bigger city told was that those of us who were born and raised there were either related to or had somebody married into the family!

Not too far off the mark either....my mom still has people she went to high school with and she knows all their kids.

We are here 7 months. Moved from Staten Island, originally Brooklyn. Miss real bagels on every corner. Miss real diners with real food. Hate chain food restaurants. Miss our family, of course. Do not miss snow, work, traffic, crowds, high car insurance, enormous electric bills. I do miss our doctors who knew us. Thats about it. Nothing that is that important, except my mom.

Miss being on the coast. Miss getting on my sailboat and bobbing around the harbor. Miss being able to buy seafood that was just caught that day. Miss going to Selectmen's meetings where any citizen can get up and be heard. Miss having a good newspaper delivered to my home everyday.

I came here from New York, near the L.I. Sound. I miss pretty much everything, except the snow.

Rubicon you would be happy to know that I too miss Culver's butter burgers so I wrote to the company and they told me that they are coming to Florida. The first one will be located near Tampa sometime this year. More to come.
