I can't believe someone was banned for being "to negative". I think admin is very even handed on this site.
I think TV is a wonderful place made more wonderful by the people living here. I also think it is an engineering marvel and am amazed that Mr Morse had the intestinal fortitude to take on an undertaking of this size and scope.
No place is perfect but TV tries to come close.

Welcome to Shangri la

Been here five years and wouldn't be anywhere else...........
Eighty thousand people here and you get 8 negative comments...and those comments come from the same people who gripe everyday ...They go on and on about a dixie cup they once found on someone's driveway and and people who plant the wrong color flowers that doesn't match their houses....The Republican party knows what a neat spot this is and the Democrats are still trying to read a GPS............But enough about Politics ,
In Michigan we have a motto.. IF YOU SEEK A BEAUTIFUL PENNENSULA , LOOK ABOUT YOU.....
The man who wrote it obviously had never seen THE VILLAGES.....and as for the Morse's , their great folks who dreamed up this fabulous place......

Was that totally negative person banned? I wondered why my blood pressure had gone down.

Gotta love the good ole thought police.

WE are allowed to repeat rumors and gossip and I just heard through the grapevine that the person was not banned.

I am wracking my memory and I don't remember ever banning anyone for being too "negative." "Negative" is very subjective. We have not yet drawn any boundries on what is "negative' and what is not. It's not likely that we will. I think this rumon can be put to bed. About that, I'm "positive."

There is no safer, cleaner, more active, more aesthetically pleasing place I would choose to live. It is hard to believe... when we did our lifestyle gig I was walking up to strangers trying to find someone who had a list of negatives. I don't think 80 thousand people are in denial... there simply are very few major negatives.

I am 34 and would not live anywhere else on EARTH~!! Talk about the younger side of things....

Come for a visit....you will never want to live anywhere else in the world!!

I met Cassie for lunch yesterday. Yes, she is 34 and looks it. She is also witty and fun to be around. ;D She, hubs and my neighbor and I met @ Toojays and had a nice lunch. Nevermind that we have underwear as old as she is. She's pretty cool.
uhoh :cop: :cop: :cop: :cop:

There's not much wrong with TV except the last couple of days have been hot. I guess it gets hot in many places though.

Close your eyes and picture red, green and yellow recycle bins sitting outside your neighbors house for days on end. Keep looking there are more on down the street. Pretty sight--I think not!!!! Keep bags for garbage and recycles!!!!

You are correct, hope. Some people are to darn lazy to bring them into the garage.

There is a club of about 100-150 people who have their homes up for sale who hate the Villages. There motto is -Not the Friendliest Hometown -about 100 have their homes up for sale so I went to look at one of the homes. That's all I know. This was last March. No official site, word of mouth.

"....who hate the Villages...." Are you sure of that? "Not the friendliest home town?" Are you sure of that. Is there a chance that these people just want to move because they want to? Is The Villages exactly right for everybody? If a person does not like the Villages, does that mean there is something wrong with them?

I can think of dozens of reasons why a person might have their home for sale and might want to live elsewhere. It troubles me to think that there is a mentality that if a person does not want to live here, there is something wrong with them. This isn't a religious commune, it's a housing development. It's wonderful here, but it's certainly not for everybody.

If you look at the population of TV, that is a very small percentage indeed. May those 100-150 go forth and find their own paradise.
