Red, Sorry but the Dems get all the the breaks, just listen to the nightly network news, cnn, msnbc. It's pretty much one sided. Noone should be banned from expressing their opinion, unless they disagree with me. (joking)

Buc, maybe you should only listen to Fox.
I do wish the TV newspaper was more balanced. Everyone seems to have an agenda.
Sheeesh!

balanced is hard to find in politics - whether right or left.
Most people consider balanced if it agrees with their own thoughts.
I try to read carefully and reach my own conclusions.

I've lived in many places, none has been perfect. TV is pretty darned good.

Yes...34....and thank you my friend for saying I look it too! Personally Mrs. Sammhass I thought you were fabulous and I was so glad we met! However if the undies are that old my dear....honestly time to go shoppin' !! 1rnfl

Some of us are blessed earlier in life to live in such a wonderful, wonderful place! Think back to your 30's...wouldn't you have loved to live here!! Age means nothing to me....we are all humans and have our stories and can be here to share them....I may not have as many as you....but what better place to learn from those that are wiser and more experienced! Even if they are republican!

I was out this morning on my golf cart running my errands! As I was driving and taking in the views...I thought to myself that there is no where on earth that is more beautiful and breathtaking!

Plus I didn't wasted one dime on gas to get anywhere....went from Buffalo Ridge to LSL and met some of the nicest people along the way! From the owner of the new bakery (by the way they have the BEST bagels in town), the lady at Decor Galore who remembers me, knows what I have in my home from her shop and reccommends something new that might match up.....to the ladies at LSL mercantile....they treat you like royalty but at the same time their best friend in the world.

What more would ANYONE want??

We love TV! We loved it from the minute we saw it on google earth, and even more when we visited. We bought on the 2nd visit. Our current next-door neighbors in Tucson went with us on the 1st visit and they are planning to move to TV too. Right after that, we got some new neighbors one house away and they moved here from TV! So we had them over to discuss everything, like why they moved. Well, they lived in AZ for a number of years before and they didn't like FL weather, they didn't like some little black bugs that invaded their home, and they didn't like the crowds especially in the winter. They thought their closing costs were horrible. I think they bought in 2006 or 2007. They didn't have much good to say about TV. We listened, and dismissed most of it. Our neighbors are still dying to move there, and we will move into our TV house as soon as this one sells, or sooner because we can't wait to be there.

Why would anyone say these things if they really wanted a prospective villager to buy their home? I really don't believe that there is such a "club," either official or unofficial.

We, incidentally had our home up for sale last March in order to move to another home IN THE VILLAGES.

Wouldn't want to live anywhere else.

Perhaps some people are always looking for something to complain about. :chillout:

Lone:

After all these answers (some of which are admittedly slightly off topic!), I think you may guess that what's wrong with TV is minor, minor, minor!

The small peeves that Red posted are reasonably common, but you've got to admit that they really are small in the overall scheme of things!

TV is not for everyone! You will know if it is for you....those of us who love it...we really love it!

I have gone from an ordinary "grown up lady" who always thought things through and made decisons slowly, to a sparkling eyed kid, who was dropped right into the middle of a toy store. And my husband who was even more QUIET is the same. I really didn't like Florida. Too hot, too plastic, too much of this, too much of that...............until when I entered the Villages to visit friends in January of this year.NOW I am counting the moments until we get down there in November. And, you, so many of you are part, actually most of the reason why I love THE VILLAGES, FLORIDA!!!!

Yes. It has difficulties. You get lost easily at first and the traffic circles are beasts. There are far too many beautiful ladies, far prettier than oneself and too many tempting things to eat.

You just answered the question... "what's wrong with TV?". My aching body is telling me what's wrong. The fact I didn't get to the clock tonight at 6pm is what's wrong. What's wrong is that at 58 I poop out before I can squeeze everything into my day that I want to. I could probably last if I was in my 30's.... but, like today, TV offered soooooo much to do and I tried to do it all... now I'm on the couch and hurt all over!

Oh my goodness...age has nothing to do with it...let me tell you that there are people here that can run circles around me. Rather they can dance and drink circles around me...then get up to golf in the morning!!

It is 11 pm at night and I am NEVER up this late. We happen to have friends in from out of town so I am just winding down. My life partner is 53.....we are in bed asleep everynight no later than 10pm....actually I am in bed and on the lap top....but the rest of the family is sound asleep....usually by 9pm.

I have a family...run two households....work a full time job....but love TV's and would live no where else on earth. I do not "party" like you 50+ people do....I have a hard time keeping up with all of you!!!
Forget the couch....go right to the bed!! LOL
