why diplomatically, could be far more fun just saying it.

there are very extremely low number of facts posted here. . more like personal opinions or highly generalized assumptions of situations or events . . . . . not everyone sees the sky as blue (literally and factually, though the population who can't, blind and colorblind are extremely small, so seldom is anything 100% factual except math and laws of physics). . . but to the person owning the opinions . . the opinion is presented as facts by them. .

so then people get into typing contests at each other. . .

however, posters should actually sit back and wonder why the poster believes his/her posts. . . and then maybe the poster has some expertise/career experience somewhere the reader doesn't have. . or maybe . . .

I was just having a bad day and can't take it out on the wife nor kick the cats. . .
sorry readers . . .

If the person is a friend by all means let the truth be told. Me? I would thank you for setting me straight. May help me avoid a future embarrassing response. If not a friend, thread carefully: “gee, Are you sure? I recall hearing (reading, experiencing, learning, etc) ….blah, blah, blah. May be better way of handling it. OR, if not that important, ignore and move on

Why is it so important to correct someone you think is wrong ??? Is this the best thing you can do with the remaining time left in your life ? The most important thing is to trust in your own beliefs, respect the fact others have the right not only to their own opinions, they also have the right to be wrong. Live and let live, enjoy your remaining days left to the fullest, don’t sweat the small stuff

Live and let live ,, of course but to live is to grow,, the only way to expand your perspective is to be exposed to other opinions, start with yourself, have differences with respect, tact, try to hear what the other person is saying, whatever you believe your thoughts are only as good as how well they stand up to the knowledge and experience of others,

When we base our decisions on our beliefs, it can have a ripple effect. non-political example:

You read on twitter, facebook, Fox News, and The Villages Radio that scientists have proven that driving gas golf carts leads to more deaths from faulty driving than driving electric golf carts. Not only that, but there is a class action suit against Yamaha for the wrongful deaths of over 10,000 people nationwide, as a result of the mechanics and logistics of their golf carts.

This news spreads nationwide, until suddenly, everyone's trying to unload their gas golf carts cheap, ClubCar announces THEIR golf carts haven't had any of these problems, and Yamaha comes out with new - more expensive - electric golf carts.

The existing yamaha gas carts cease to be popular, their stock tanks, shareholders can't recuperate, protesters march on their elected officials to outlaw gas golf carts, Yamaha is vilified, and has to lay off 500 people and close down 400 sales centers.

But the truth of the matter, is that it was just some random guy on the internet who didn't like his Yamaha golf cart, complained about how it was inconvenient for his wife - who is shorter than he is - to reach for the pedal and was worried some day it'd result in an accident because the seat isn't adjustable.

The conspiracy nuts picked it up and ran with it, spinning it into an anti-Yamaha rant. Obviously Club Car was elated and used it to their advantage in increasing their own sales.

Your choice to rely on unverified facts that can be easily proven false, has an impact on everything. It's called the ripple effect and can start with false information, or it can start with you simply being in a bad mood, or stubbing your toe and walking around all day with a bit of a limp.

Yea, I know sometimes I shoot my mouth off when I know I shouldn’t but I’m pretty opinionated when it comes to our present govt. or EV’s. I try to keep my mouth shut because it always seems to get me into trouble & TOTV bans me & probably rightly so. So I won’t get into something that’ll get me into trouble.

Many missing details. What is the motive? What do you gain?
My definition of a friend is someone who can tell you you are wrong, do it PRIVATELY and you know it might be correct and think about it.

I have few friends but know lots of people.

Truth, if you can't be honest, for me it is an acquaintance not a friend. There is a time and a place.

"I would thank you for setting me straight." Perhaps, how it should be. Sad REALITY, I cannot recall ever hearing that. It is a beautiful day in the villages is perhaps a good way to tell people to STUFF IT.

Remember the old Southern Charm School lesson, "Isn't that nice" instead of "Who gives a damn", might work here, lol!
