gbobo: I can understand why you feel the way you do. The excitement about retiring and retiring to The Villages seems to be dampened by what you read here. However, do not pre-judge The Villages nor the members on TOTV until you have had an appreciable adjustment period after moving to The Villages. There are some really nice people here and on TOTV

You will be here sooner than you think. I really think that the negativity and abusiveness is limited to a dozen or so posters, definitely not all. For me the sad thing is all the lovely people we had who do not post anymore because of the animus. I miss them. Is it necessary to put people down. One can disagree in a polite manner by just stating that you disagree and why

I can feel your excitment.

I love this place. Today, it was in the seventies, and I enjoyed being about, in shorts and short sleeve shirt and sandals. Tomorrow, it's the polo ponnies match. I live very close to thwe polo field. It doesn't get better than this!

I have had enough snow, to last me three lifetimes. You don't have to shovel sunshine.
