Assuming that, from what I have seen in my 44 years as a CPA, most large businesses are self insured up to a certain amount usually $500k
The business interruption kicks in after the self insured or deductible piece is reached

Just got back from Publix at Grand Traverse Plaza (Morse & 44). Many perishable items missing. We were told the generator did not kick in and that was true at some other Publix stores as well. They also said it was the same at Winn-Dixie.

Pretty much the same at Lake Deaton Publix.....how spoiled we hav become expecting full recovery when the sun comes out.

Grand Traverse is pretty well stocked. Looks like a full selection of meats. Some produce is a bit tired, but not too bad.

Beverages and snacks are gone. I don't think there is a bag of Doritos in the store.

Everything along 301 in Wildwood has power, the stop lights, gas stations, CVS, Dollar Genera, Post Office, etc. I didn't go though the side streets but where I did go had power. That was about 2:00 PM
