Sad to see no more stamps at postal stations ATM's. Mail and stamps at the same location made sense.

why? can't even think of one.

why not? 1 book of forever stamps lasts a lifetime. I use 1 stamp a year. and don't say xmas cards because very few people send them any more.

Correct. But Publix does it as a free service to their customers. The Post Office has nothing to do with it.

Cute and kinda snarky ..... but, there are still a lot of seniors who do not either want, or feel the need for a cell phone. I cannot get my other half to use a cell phone, so an old fashioned pay phone is not such a stupid idea.

When I am in Europe it seems that everyone has a cell phone, but they still have a pay phone kiosk in every town.

Many comments here on stamps being purchased via ATMs at postal stations. I loved that! However, I was told the USPS quit manufacturing ATM-ready stamps.

No, because it’s a terrible idea. Most people don’t use stamps anymore.

We are “old school” and still send out Christmas cards, birthday cards, get well cards sympathy cards, etc. Anyway, my point is it’s very easy to get stamps as others have mentioned. Such stamp machines were not and are not cost effective and the USPS did away with them the same as pay phones and other such devices of the past went bye bye. BTW, mailing all these cards are not cost effective either. However, when in the hospital and my brother passed, a card with real writing was sort of nice. But, as I said, we are “old school”! Fore!
