I believe you can still purchase postage stamps at an ATM using your debit card. Also they are available at Publix and most supermarkets.

Such stamp machines were not and are not cost effective and the USPS did away with them the same as pay phones and other such devices of the past went bye bye. BTW, mailing all these cards are not cost effective either. However, when in the hospital and my brother passed, a card with real writing was sort of nice. But, as I said, we are “old school”! Fore!

Since some posters think it's too hard to read the whole thread before posting, here is the summary: Stamps used to be sold at the postal station atm's. It was stopped a while back.

I don't have a Citizen's First account that operates the postal station ATMs. But, I assume that the stamps were sold by the bank as a convenience to their customers, and that the USPS had nothing to do with it. Is that correct?

So then putting stamp machines at postal stations would be the same as buying them at Publix. Maybe even a better, due to the fact that the postal station workers are under contract with the USPS.

Default You obviously have a computer...

4 pages of comments and nobody has suggested that you use your computer and go to USPS.com and browse every stamp that is currently available, make a choice or choices, pay for them, and have it conveniently delivered to your house in days? All from the comfort of your own home? Perfect example of what's wrong with this site now, everyone chiming in with what they think is somehow amusing, but very few who actually give any decent answers to the questions posed.

Correct. But they will charge you a "handling" fee. If you order a book of 20 stamps, the handling fee is $1.55. And, if your stamps get lost in the mail, good luck getting your money back. LOL.

I would rather go to Publix. No fees.

Yes, other than selling them the stamps.

How do people make it through life, retire and not understand how to buy stamps?

I’d prefer a mail shredder at each postal station.

Fun fact our Granddaughter (college grad entering Med school this fall) has never written a check, doesn’t have a checkbook, and had never addressed an envelope. Buying stamps was a bigger question.

Sadly every student in her dorm complex had zero experience.

I get all my stamps from the post office to choose something different, any place else usually carries regular stamps. It must be popular because early November all the Christmas stamps were sold out.

I just buy them from USPS.com and they get delivered to my mailbox. If in a rush, there is always Publix. I'll caveat all that with I used 9 stamps in 2022. With online banking and such, the need for stamps continues to drop.
