right. I understand that as I have visited and had access with the visitor pass, my biggest want was to be able to get everywhere I want via golfcart IE the town squares and restaurants, groceries etc within TV w/o needing a car I can golf with my father

I sound inhospitable and I am sorry for that, but if we encourage people to move here who have younger children or are too young to retire in that they move here with no jobs than we encourage an unstable economy and foreclosures.
no worries I fully understand where your coming from, it is our intention to be gainfully employed prior to moving and with our chosen professions we dont foresee any issues finding employment ......... you sound exactly like I feel dont show up if you dont have a job and looking for a handout

Default Keep planning

Glenn, it doesn't hurt to dream and plan. My husband and I have been dreaming the dream of moving to TV for 10 years and we finally made it happen. Our daughter was 10 and we always said that when she flies the coop, we would retire in florida....She's 21 and lives in another state and we will be retiring in TV in May! So keep dreaming and planning.

I thought there is a special guest pass for relatives who live very near TV so they can visit grandparents and use amenities often/ I could be misinformed tho.

You are correct Mudder... It's called an in area annual guest pass and is available to the following blood relatives of Villages Residents... Parents, children, grandchildren. In this case, Glenn would be eligible but his girlfriend and her daughter would not. This assumes Glenn buys a place somewhere in Lake, Sumter, or Marion county. There may be other relations that count but it is pretty limited. Info is on the districtgov website.

I didn't know that. A good friend's sister in law moved to Lady Lake and they said they could not take her to things in the villages because she had no pass. So if she were a child or grandchild, she would be able to use the amenities?

Gracie... Yes, child, grandchild, or Great grandchild (and their spouses) qualify.... But no siblings or inlaws. There are some limitations on using in area pass...like you have to be with a Villages resident to use the pool. Not quite as generous as a visitor guest ID. Again, check out districtgov.org website for full policy.

Glenn....well, not sure you should get married just to get an in-area guest ID :-). You'll have to decide that one.

Glenn, I agree with Happinow. It's good to have a plan, even if it takes several years to make it happen. It's my goal to move to TV sometime down the road, and after the last 2 weeks of working 55+ hours each week my long-term goal to move to TV is about the only thing keeping me going at this point.

I hope you can make TV a reality someday. We may be neighbors.
