And we'll get started,

I think Carol should be the designated driver this whole thing was her idea therefore, she should be the responsible person.

Now Rusty as bar tender...that should work
I so hope you're serious about the plans but something tells me that you're pulling my leg. This thing would be wonderful!!! If anyone could come up with a set of plans my money would be on you, Jimbo!

Also, fuel consumption makes those seats somewhat "wobbly" better be belted into them just in case.
I was thinking about bucket seats with 5 point restraints. Don't want anyone to fall off the GillyWagon and get hurt!!!

But you have to admit that this would give a whole new meaning to the term "Welcome Wagon"!!!

There were some options I didn't know about and they didn't ask me if I wanted during design.
Yes, just like A-4, we asked our sales rep to get approval on how much we could stretch as soon as we reserved our lot over five months ago. Both CAD and our sales rep put in writing what stretches were approved and they said we could do what we requested. They also did a cut and paste of our selected home (and Iris) with the stretches listed and pasted it onto a copy of our lot with the exact dimensions shown. For five months we could have selected a new lot if we did not like what this lot would do for us, and now that the stretchable and reasonably priced lots are much more expensive and quite scarce, especially cul de sac corners like our lot. In addition, this lot at 3293 Vicksburg Ave was special to us as the name of our street had very special meaning...my wonderful late mother was born and raised in Vicksburg, Mississippi. Also, section 214 is right next to Evans Prairie, and believe it or not my mother's maiden name was Evelyn EVANS.
There was no way we had the time or inclination at the last minute to try to search and select a new lot. We also were not afforded the opportunity to spend much time discussing options and we were only presented with the ones that are mandated to get a choice for by the designer. I would just like to tell everyone who will soon be having a design appointment to make sure your rep makes it clear to your designer as to what you expect from the appointment and to insure they will be considerate and patient toward your needs. Also maked double and triple sure that you understand exactly what your lot will do for you or you may be very surpriesed. We are still very excited for our future at the villages, and if anyone has any questions from us about the process, just let us know....Sincerely, Bruce and Marcy Snell.

Much cheaper to do it after closing. Get a standard door and have Entrypoint by Perry's in Spanish Springs do it. Lots more choices and less than half the price !!!

Frankly, I am perplexed and I too would be upset. How is it that they ran it through CAD before the meeting and gave it the ok and yet declined it during the meeting as not fitting? If the CAD dept. did the numbers, the numbers didn't change.

Leave it to the Air Force to put a Training Tail Wheel on their pocket rockets. The Navy replaced it years ago with a Tail Hook. I'll fly anything. Who wants to be my Rear Seat? And who has the list of targets?
SpicyCajunPug has coordinates for a couple of targets I'm sure.

Default Getting Ready For Design Appointment

Hi Everyone!
My husband David and I are going to build soon in Gilchrist. Our design appointment is on Feb. 10th. I have been reading TOTV for awhile and feel like I know you all already. You sound like a fun and interesting group and we look forward to meeting you in the near future. I appreciate the information provided on the design process and we're anxious to get it completed. Any current thoughts? Also, hoping to be invited to any upcoming Gillabration.
Thanks!

Hi Guys,
Welcome on board, sadly SpicyCayjon has had a bit of bum deal on their design, but fortunately for most of us it goes like a dream (an expensive dream, but still a dream) and we can tell you after meeting Marcy and Bruce, they are a great upbeat and postive couple, so the fault is not with them, full of beens and typical Gilly people, so dont panic about your upcoming design, the odds are on your side.

You will absolutely love it here and everyone is upbeat, up for a laugh and full of fun.

Now we have solved the midnight Bigfoot mystery, the neaighbourhood has calmed down a bit.

Look forward to seeing you around the 10th and if His Worship the Mayor doesn't declare another Gillybration soon, we will be very surprised. : crap2:

Welcome! What unit are you in? Gilchrist is a GREAT village...my husband and I will be full time starting this summer. We are in 209. This is a great forum to get all your pre-design meeting questions answered! You have less than 2 weeks until your appointment...you must be excited! Welcome to the neighborhood!

Hi Doreen & David & Daisy! Welcome to the neighborhood! I'm sure that you'll find yourself right at home with our lively cast of characters!

Where are you building in Gilchrist? We also have a spreadsheet of neighborhood info that is maintained by the inestimable A-4 Skyhawk. If you want to get in on this please send him a message with your info.

There's plenty of info on here about the design process and I know that anyone would be more than willing to help.

To the Maniac in the Golfcart with the "Orange T" who came ripping, weaving, speeding and generally disrupting traffic on Eastfield and Bradshaw today. This is a quiet neighborhood where elderly , disabled and mentally incompetant persons wander the streets walk themselves and their dogs. Your driving and behavior will not be tolerated. I have promised to keep this information to myself but Her Ladyship Wendy, Assistant to the Assistant Administrator of Gillyland is well qualified to handle you if you can't behave. In her younger years, Lady Wendy was a member of MI-5 of Scotland Yard and handled many cases ( most of which are still classified) more difficult than you can imagine. She trained with the US Navy Seals and is trained in hand to hand combat, special weapons. She has trained in the Orient in many of the hand to hand arts with the highest masters including Judo, Karate, Chun kuk do, Jeet kun do, Niguni Stick fighting, South African bare knuckle boxing ....well the list is endless. Rumor has it at one time she was the most lethal human on earth. Do you get the picture? Continue the reckless driving putting the citizens of Gillyland at risk for bodily harm and I will be forced to report you to what may become the new Constable, Lady Wendy.
