Default One week now

It's now only a week away until we start the adventure down and begin designing our new home--thanks for all your help with the tips and suggestions. It's great to see the pictures of the new houses as they unfold--Rusty you're a gem! Jim missed seeing the beer in the pictures when The Villages showed us all their pictures--he likes your shots so much better Our first stop will be Hilton Head for a few days of fun in the sun and then will be arriving in Gilcrest in time for a early happy hour--can't wait to see the progress!

WV: I wonder if there's a way...since you can see my house and HotRod's house from your place...to entince who ever have or will buy the lots inbetween to simply not build. That way, when it's time to toss back a cold one you simply strike the same pose and that will be a reminder for us to take the pause that refreshes...

Default Jots

Since Hotrod doesn't have a JOTS, I guess the workers are all walking down the street to CalcTeachers . . . . . . we hope . . .

By the way, the "Spreadsheet" is up to 39 people listed and growing daily. It has become a list of people south of 466A looking to identify their future neighbors. Anyone who wants to get on the list, just send me a PM and I'll send you the instructions.

Twin! I am so excited for you to begin that journey! Enjoy the trip down and keep us all posted on your progress along the way. And be sure to PM or e-mail if you have questions! Did you make a decision yet for which house or will you do some walk-throughs when you get there to get a feel? Best of luck, enjoy the trip and keep the info coming!

I have at least two very nice bottle openers at the condo thanks to a certain wonderful neighbor but the package has yet to make it to the house...hence the screwdriver...lol. But I will steal a phrase from the USMC "Improvise, Adapt and Overcome!" I wanted a beer to salute my new neighbors and I wasn't going to let a little hiccup keep me down. So, due to my superior problem solving skills, Calc and Hotrod got their beer salutes!

Based on Calc's suggestion I'm going to go to the vacant lots between Calcl, HotRod and myself and put up signs that say "UNAVAILABLE" on them and see what happens!

Twin - I hope you guys have a wonderful trip down and please get in touch with us when you get here so we can get together for drinks/dinner. We would love to meet you guys!

Tomorrow should be a big day for HotRod & Calc. I foresee a roof in Hotrods future and a large cement pour for Calc. Since I'm going to be at the house all day tomorrow for deliveries I will do my best to get pics of the crane and cement truck to post later on. I wish someone would get down here to help me because the neighborhood watch/photographic duties are keeping me hopping. Oh wait, that's what Frogs do isn't it?????

I do believe that I'm going to send my portfolio to TV and see if I can't get a part-time job doing photo ad's for promotional literature. I'd almost guarantee that sales would increase!

You started this thread back in June and 11,486 views later, it's still going strong. You've managed to get several nice people scheduled to go into MY Fernandina to swap lots and go to Gilchrist. And your romantic sun set and Corona Salute pictures are award winning. I'd say there is a bright future in South of 466A Sales for you

What can I say A-4...it must be my winning personality , rugged good looks (emphasis on rugged) , gracious bar tending demeanor and not so award winning photography .

You are, however, and always will be the guru of the spreadsheet and for that we are all thankful!!!

We are all so close together that I wouldn't be surprised if quite a few people, including myself, cross neighborhoods quite frequently in our social endeavors. I will promise that Janice and I will have an adequately stocked bar/fridge and anyone is welcome "Up on the Hill" in Gilchrist!

LETS GET THIS PARTY STARTED

WVMtnBoy
Congrats on your new home. Loved seeing all the pictures.

25 more days till our design meeting. . .can't wait. This forum has been a wonderful resource for us. What a great way to have questions answered, meet wonderful future neighbors and just have fun.
Okay guys...refresh my failing memory. Where are you building in Gilchrist? I know you're on A-4's spreadsheet but I don't have it available to me right now? After all, what's one more lot to keep an eye on?

Default Lafayette St

Okay A-4...here's your pictures of Lafayette Street. I've got a kind of long shot of your side of the street and pics of the individual homes. Hope this is what you wanted. If not...my only excuse is that right now I'm as confused as a baby in a topless bar... Too much going on in my little head!!!

Wonder what A-4 has up his sleeve.... This could get interesting!
By the way, nice pics of Lafayette street!
Right now it seems like forever until we all will be living our dreams, but I know the time will pass much too quickly! Yep! Great times ahead!!!
