By the way, nice pics of Lafayette street!
Right now it seems like forever until we all will be living our dreams, but I know the time will pass much too quickly! Yep! Great times ahead!!!
Oh HotRod! Just wait until you and Calc get your pics tomorrow. You'll at least have roof joists up and possibly plywood sheeting. Calc will most likely have a nice, concrete pad just begging for walls. It gets better!!!

Default Wednesday

My guess is Wednesday evening we'll all be getting a Picture from WV of something VERY SPECIAL. It shouldn't hurt too bad unless he gets to running and messes up his knee surgery

You're not confused. The house with the hip roof is the spec house 2 lots south of ours. The house with the gable roof looks to be next door to our lot just to the north. Michiganders took a picture of the hipped roof house a few weeks ago when it was just being formed up for the slab. Thanks for the pics

Default CalcTeachers Footers

Not much progress today on either home but Calc does have the footers poured. I have no idea when the construction crew did that. She also has concrete block on site for the walls!!

HotRod had some deliveries today such as roof sheeting and tar paper. I'm surprised that a crane didn't show up and do the roof trusses.

I'll still keep an eye on things tomorrow.

We had a bunch of deliveries today (sofa, love seat, office sofa, dining room chairs, matresses) and Brighthouse Cable also hooked up the TV. Pantry cabinets and craft room storage cabinets and the painter are Wednesday.

Had a nice "Happy Hour" with TerpDawg at the house (had to get a bottle of scotch to make him feel welcome and at home) before he heads back north. Safe travels Terp!!!

Wow Rusty--you and Janice are busy--can't wait to see the house--sounds beautiful Where do you have time for your part time photographer's job--ha? Got a lot of info from both Carol and Lisa regarding their design meetings and how they stretched their houses--don't seem so stressed now--6 days and counting until we see sun--boy has Ohio turned cool already. Bad winter--hope not. Try to get some rest so you won't be "all tired out" when we stop by for a visit!

Hi everyone!! Lisa, progress of a sort today! It's all so exciting to see the homes being built from day one... Thanks, Rusty even tho nothing happened by me today :-(
A-4, are you going to post something for us on Wednesday so we can all partake in your surprise?
Twin, glad to hear you are not quite so stressed about the meeting! You will be surprised at how easy the process is and all you will accomplish!
I actually have started a Florida pile in my house that I will ship down to my other home in FL and ferry up with the movers in Dec. These 2 months seem forever to wait, but I know will suddenly be upon me! Can't wait to meet everyone!!! And safe travels Terp!

It won't be me posting anything on Wednesday. I believe after the SURPRISE it will be WVMtnBoy posting something.

The MntBoy produced a bottle of Red Label for the Ole Dawg and it was oh so smooth on a couple cubes. He wins the blue ribbon for hospitality and medal of honor for neighborliness. Thanks, Big Guy, see you and Janice in a month.

Awwwww geez....the anticipation is killing me! TerpDawg reminded me that A-4 is/was a jet pilot and those guys do some crazy stuff and never do anything half-a**ed. I hope I survive to see Thursday!

Rusty: Can't thank you enough for the pictures. Not being there is really frustrating! This is the fourth house we have built and with the others we would drive everyday to the new homesite (all the houses were within 15 miles of each other) and look at what had been done. So for you to so graciously take pics for us is a gift! Like I said earlier, we probably won't be able to stay away...already spoke to my husband (Ed) about the possibility of flying down the weekend of Nov. 10th--sort of a half-way point in the build. My husband can't believe that a total stranger is being this thoughtful...but I told him I think this is the kind of neighborhood we'll be moving into. Wait...I don't think...I KNOW it's the kind of neighborhood we'll be moving into.
