Congratulations! What an exciting time- we too recently sold our home in WA. We closed there June 20, drove down and moved into a rental here in TV on 7/1, found a home we love in St. James (Edenville Path) and can't wait for escrow to close on 7/27. I'm looking forward to moving in and meeting our new neighbors.

Best wishes with your move(s)!

Sorry, no Illinoisans.

Some Illinoisans might, of course, be embarrassed to admit that they come from a state with two successive governors in the slammer!

Well I was born in Iowa and lived there until age 18 when I moved to Chicago to attend college, so maybe I could joint the Iowa club someday...and don't get me started about the 2 previous governors of Illinois being residents of the crossbar hotel...

IMHO, have found www.virginiatrace.com to be the BEST "info central". IF you just want to see ALL clubs (registered) within The Villages simply go to.... http://virginiatrace.com/clubs/ .. There are about 1700 "registered" clubs. If you wish to start another club...Just contact The Villages Recreation Dept.

Oh, gosh,...I've been so busy packing since I posted this just now checked and found all the great answers. Thank you, thank you, all. The St Louis club sounds terrific! I don't think we'll have any trouble making friends, they seem to be everywhere.
Also, enjoyed all the humor.
See you all, soon, Wynn

Making friends was one of my concerns when considering moving to TV. I slept on that thought for a few nights and came to the conclusion I will always be me. Some people will like you, some won't. TV is a community of 75,000 people or more and you will find people to bond with.

Default Hi St Louisans

We recently moved here from STL ( Florissant) in May and love it here so far. We have owned for 3 years but after the horrible winter we had, we decided to move down here for good a bit earlier than planned. You will be amazed at the number of folks you'll meet EVerywhere here. Plan on getting some "business cards" made up with your contact information at TV. It's a great way to stay in touch with new friends and contacts.
HOpe to meet you sometime at the STL club which we have yet to join! Just too many other things to do and learn..

The Southern IL Club has two groups going to spring training in Jupiter. I know one is against the Braves and I forget who the other game is with. You can contact the AAA office in Spanish Springs to find out if seats are still available. They can fill you in on all of the details.
