You may still miss the seasons but can always go back and visit.
We have been in FL for seveb years this week but am fortunate to spend 4 months back in Harbor Springs, MI.
Our second home or anyones for that matter is an expense especially when only used for 4 months. Actually so os FL for only living in it for 8 months.
No rush but we do talk about going to 1 home someday and that will be back to MI!
We would then travel; visit kids in TX and save lots of $$$.
FL is nice but too hot and humid from June through Oct.

I'm a central New York resident but spent many years hiking up North.

As a ADK 46R #1256 climbed them all over 4000 plus Slide,Hunter and McNaughton . Finished long ago when the knees were much younger. 1985.
