Default 2nd Fastest Growing Area in USA

Currently, TV is #1 and Buckeye, AZ is #2 (but maybe soon to be #1)

Buckeye had a pop. of 8,500 in 2000 and nearly 50K in 2008. Estimated to grow to over 380,000 by 2030. Currently has an area of 145 Sq Miles and has plans of an annex of 600 Sq miles. May surpass Phoenix in pop.

Very interesting info!

wikipedia

There are a bunch of different developments in the town. 55+ by Pulte called Sun City Festival. Tartesso with projected build out of 49,000 units and Verrado with 14,000 units and probably others.

I should mention, Arizona gets too hot for me; but apparently many many people like to stay indoors six month a year.

A realtor at an open house last week told me they have sold 800 houses this year.

I visited those sites. Seems the home prices are a little higher, but only one golf course for over 40,000 units? I know there are many courses in the area, but it appears only one in the community. Also no mention of town squares or golf cart travel capability. Perhaps they have some of those things, however not real clear on the web sites. On the surface they don't stack up well against TV.

Has anyone been there and got a first hand look to compare? Probably worth checking out if your still in the deciding phase.

That's about 50% more than TV.

Did you mean in TV?

If so that about 8 per day including weekends.

400 homes in a year is a LOT. Back home in West Chester, Ohio that has been the growth in the last few years and that means you need to build an elementary school about every year in an area where families live.

Our TV sales rep said 250 in the month of Feb - so that makes sense.
