A theme park vacation with travel, hotel meals, attractions etc can run around $ 6,000 to $ 10,000 for a family of 4.
A lot of Joe Six Packs make very nice incomes. My plumber made over $200k last year.

And I’m amazed at the number of people who just don’t get that we are trying to flatten the curve so the hospitals don’t get overwhelmed and at the number that think masks are to protect yourself and that not wearing one shows a complete lack of concern for other people’s health.

The hospitals never were overwhelmed with maybe New York being an exception but it didn’t even happen there. You’ve drank the Kool-Aid. Don’t wear a mask and never will. Unless you have underlying conditions or comorbidities, this virus in my opinion is less harmful than the flu. In fact I would like to just get it and build the antibodies and be done with it

I never stopped getting out there. Once I realize that we had been lied to from the get go about this whole thing, I just resumed life as much as possible the way I had been. Don’t have to worry about my family missing me because I’m not afraid of this. In fact I would like to just get it and build the antibodies and be passed it just like everyone else is going to have to do eventually

His so called committee charged with coming up with a plan was to get back to him last Friday.

The only change made so far is to allow some beaches to open......first things first. There are a lot of small businesses waiting to hear what the opening plan is as it affects them.

I guess it is only the 28th so we shouldn't rush him!

Things will start to open up, but there isn't going to be an "all clear" signal ...we all need to use our own judgment on what we feel safe doing going forward and what we are willing to risk. Keep in mind there are some folks out there that have a mind set of 'full speed ahead, damn the torpedo's".....that's their choice, but I will keep them at a distance. So we all just self manage.

I'd like to get back to attending church on Sundays...but curious how that's going to work out sitting shoulder to shoulder...maybe every other pew is left open?

I plan to continue to wear a mask into the liquor stores for awhile yet...just to see how long it will take before the clerk backs away from the counter with their hands raised up over their head....lol

seriously, I'm not all that anxious to go to the Sharon or Savannah Center and sit shoulder to shoulder and on top of the folks in front of me and folks close behind me
(and we would be at those venues 3 or 4 times a month) just yet

I'll feel comfortable inviting close friends over for drinks / dinner, but not comfortable going to crowded places like the bars/restaurants at the squares....

hopefully the folks over at UK's Oxford do come up with a vaccine by September...then the scramble will be manufacturing it and dispensing it....if so It could be a very happy new year for all of us

If there is a second wave of the virus, the people pushing for a reopening of everything now, will be the first in line to complain that Government didn't do enough to protect them!

Looks like the Gilead drug trial is in and it's a success. This cure will change everything. They had suspend Gilead trading this morning because the stock market is going nuts over this news.

Many have lost their health insurance along with their job. Those who need food on their table will be first out.

Since most here have the luxury of stability in income, know where their next meal is coming from, and have all their bills paid, can on their own free will decide to live in their home till they feel safe, even if takes years.

Those without will do what they need to do to feed their families, I respect those who need to make those decisions

Good news if enough is available.
Don't think it is a complete 'cure' but it will give a lot of people a chance.
Funny how the first trial in China failed!

Scientists said this is the first wave with it lessening in summer and being reactivated in the winter.
