In my experience , most businesses don not buy extended warranties for office equipment. Their rationale is that costs of such arrangements are exorbitant. I have been in my TV home for 7 yrs without a single appliance failure. Saved a bunch by not buying extended warranties. They are priced to make significant profits for the issuers.

I recently bought a refrigerator, stove, dishwasher snd microwave from Lowes. Extended warranty for 5 years for all 4was $300. I bought it because my total cost for the appliances was $6400. Also, I don't believe that appliances are made as well as they were 30 years ago. Also know that, at my age, these will probably be the last ones that I buy.

I have replaced them all, with the exception of a french door refrigerator that is now 7+ years old. Not building them like they used to, unfortunately. (My son in north Alabama bought a new house that had Samsung. Had to replace them all. Same thing with my sister who also lives here. )
Agree regarding Samsung. We too bought a French Door Fridge about 7 years ago along with their new style washer and dryer, no problems at all. Bought their microwave last year, had it installed by Lowes, it broke in 4 months, had to pay them to take it down to do the repairs. That is total BS and will never buy another one of their products. As far as extended warranties, I bought one in 1981 on a used Corvette as I was not sure how hard it was used, that was the only time. I figure I saved so much money by not buying them for the last 36 years that I could replace just about everything in my home with that savings.
