How about full or circle skirts with 2 or 3 starched crinoline petticoats, worn with bobby socks and saddle shoes. What were we thinking ??? ??? 1rnfl:

Gettin' my saddle shoes all polished up, poodle skirt out of the cedar chest, neck scarf ironed, and practicing putting my hair in a pony tail again.
Hope I'm in town...sounds like a lot of fun!

Those full skirts with crinolines sure made our waists look small. What we were thinking? That we were perfectly beautiful! I remember how important it was to stick my boyfriend's initials on my upper leg and get a tan around it.

Sleeping on orange cans? That was before we started ironing our hair.

Good memories. ;D

Barefoot, you brought up another memory for me, remember when we wanted our waists to be as tiny as Scarlet O'Hara's especially with the crinolines so we used """CINCH BELTS""""
Had them in 47 colors to match every skirt. Wish I had that waist size today!!!

Never did the thing about boyfriends initials cause never had a boyfriend.

Also, never ironed my hair cause by that time "the Shag" was in style and curly hair was perfect for it.....

Good memories guys, Thanks, Kathie

Remember the drive in movies --- what didn't go on there. I learned a lot at the movies --- stay away from the boys. Seems like it was a set up for trouble but what fun. It was a tough choice -- the dance hall or make out. I bet most of us would be embarrased to say what really happened at the movies. Good thing they had intemissions.

It was much easier to dance in Keds than saddleshoes. And we liked having our feet look cute and petite. Course, if we could get away with heels and the pointiest toe we could find, that would be our first choice. Sadly, most of us had mean moms!
