Well maybe, seems many times truly interesting cultural issues are labeled as "politics", yes, I know the difference and that they can merge, but the cultural morays and cultural anthropology of a people is not purely "politics".

Sometimes I think people too often just assume that people of one political persuasion or another (meaning BELONGING to a political party) MAKES them a supporter or a objector to this or that (masks, shots, boosters, pronouns, immigration, on and on), and of course people's political views can nudge the "culture" (meaning the collective of a people) as it evolves, but in my opinion we "jump" too often to explain them politically, when in reality, gradual cultural change has taken place far before anyone even "invented" political parties.. yet there have always been "political views" (just check them out in the Bible), they just may not have been recognized with the term "political". As for the Marines, latest "news" seems to be that it is highly unlikely the USMC will be changing soon, we'll see. In the meantime, Semper Fi from this Marine family !

Your 4-legged therapist has more wisdom in her ball-chomping jaws than some posters have in their entire bodies. I'm glad she taught you the meaning of acceptance.

Sorry to those who didn't get the chromosomes you wish you had. Sadly, my genes didn't give me the hair, eyes, build, looks and more I wish I would have preferred. But, thanks to political correctness I and you can all demand that we can make the world treat us as if we are something we are not.

You can dye, color, cut, perm, straighten your hair. You can wear contact lenses in a multitude of colors. You can gain/lose weight, work out to become more muscular. You can have plastic surgery or find someone to dress you differently if you have trouble expressing yourself with clothing correctly, if that's the "look" you want to change.

When you dye your hair blonde, you become - a blonde. When someone tells you "you have beautiful blonde hair" you don't correct them and insist that it's actually a mousy brown. You thank them for appreciating this thing about you that YOU know that you changed. You don't feel obligated to tell THEM that you changed it.

When someone tells you that your blue eyes are exquisite, you don't correct them and tell them they're actually a brownish hazel. You thank them. Because you are under no obligation to tell them that you are intentionally representing yourself as someone with blue eyes, even though you aren't blue-eyed.

All these things about yourself that you can change, because you feel more "at home" in your own body when you make those changes. And hopefully no one makes fun of you, or thinks less of you, or hates you, or fears you, or avoids you, or tells everyone how horrible you are, just because you made a change about your body that gave you a good feeling about yourself.

There are two genders this can be positively determined by genetic tests, this is a fact, facts do not hate ,love or care about politics, pop culture nonsense, one's genetic makeup cannot be changed, a person's sexuality is a profound, pervasive part of us and comes from a very basic component of our being embedded in us at a molecular level.If someone is conflicted , confused about who they are it can certainly be a very bad situation for them and no one should add to their problems, but pretending that this is not a maladjustment, that a person's feeling are paramount to facts is to deny reality , try balancing your checkbook with feelings. Making cosmetic changes to one self do not change the facts just appearance

When I was in the Marines, every officer (male or female) was addressed as "SIR." Personally, I would not wish to be in the service with gender confused members. If a member of our armed forces is that sensitive, perhaps they should work for the U.S.P.S. instead of the USMC or the USN, etc. That's my opinion and if that offends you, that's not my problem so don't attempt to make it mine. IMO, those sensitive folks that are easily offended should stay in their "safe rooms" if they cannot cope with harsh reality.
