Come to find out the lady did not even know what time of day the store opened to regular customers on a saturday. I explained she needed to call the manager or store sexurity up front. Guess what, it was also Sam's club. My last visit there ever. The shopprs thatblock the door checking something, along with the charity seekers are also a,peeve,of mine.
Ditto! We joined Sam's Club four years ago, quit two months later, and never looked back. No "deals" are worth putting up with their abysmal customer service. And yes, we, too, are tired of being accosted for a donation at the checkout stand, lobby or front door of every retail outlet we visit. Charity is a very personal choice, and the reactions of some store personnel when you say "no" are downright insulting.

Restaurants that only have unsweetened tea. You can't add sugar or sweetener to iced tea and turn it into sweet tea.

Roadside beggars with expensive tattoos, cell phones, cigarettes, etc.

People that think "N'awlins" is the way locals pronounce "New Orleans".

I believe that they have no recourse except to come out to the parking lot and accuse me of stealing something, in which case I could tell them to call the police. Since they have no probable cause to stop me, I don't believe that they would even bother to stop me. I don't believe that the would call the police nor do I believe that the police would respond.
Having worked in retail security in another life I can tell you that the purpose of Sam's Club checking receipts is not to catch the customer stealing merchandise. The purpose is to catch (or prevent) the cashiers from under ringing merchandise. The scam is the cashier has a friend go thru the line and he or she does not ring all the merchandise. However, with self scanners they are checking for customers not scanning all their purchases. Yes, they do prosecute for this.

BTW my pet peeve is people talking on cell phones in the grocery store.

A pet peeve is people with a "cause" who try to shove their "cause" down my throat.

Sweetie would never hold my purse. What if the softball guys came by while he is holding a purse? Lol. Also not everyone has a sweetie so that's no excuse for restaurants/stores not putting hooks up. It's a little to ask for especially when I'm patronizing a business

"Irregardless" of what others may think, I frequently am caught holding my wife's (aka Honey) purse which seldom matches my outfit. It may beautifully "accessorize" the statement she always makes, but it seldom comes near the color palate I wish to express.

I like this thread. Keep it going

And expecially when they say Xavier as Exavier rather than Zavier!

My really really pet peeve is someone pushing a shopping cart and browsing through "stuff" while holding a conversation on their phone. Second to that is the "husband" who has been sent to Publix and is on the phone with his wife saying "they have it in a blue can, but I don't see a red can", all the while his shopping cart has been left crosswise in the aisle effectively blocking everyone coming in or out! Oh, and one more - really dislike the people who go through the 10 only cash register with a full basket and then say "you don't mind do you?" .......... yes, damn it I do mind, and if I could spare it, I would give you a piece of my mind!

...... and just one more, my sweet very deaf neighbor who uses his cell phone on his lanai, and he is three doors down and I hear every word ..................... I do believe I have a problem with "phones".
