I cringe when I see the misuse of the words sell and sale as in, "i'm looking for a RESELL house in TV".
Or, "Can you ADVICE me as to when one might be on the market"? Long time residents who say, "Morris Blvd.". Last edited by CarolSells; 07-10-2015 at 05:09 AM. |

People who when typing a message use the expression y'all instead of you. It just seems a bit pretentious. You don't see people from the Bronx typing in youse.

People in cars that believe they have to beat the golf cart to a merge point. They believe because the sign states 'carts merge with cars' that it really means 'carts YIELD to cars. Dangerous situation, especially when people in cars blow horns in an attempt to keep carts from merging.

But checkout line roulette has always been a fun game for me. Size up the items, the people, and any visible coupons. Pick a line then compare my progress to those in other lines. I take my own bag and will sometimes pack the items myself to help get me to the finish line first. ![]() |

I'm one of those folks. It's because I type the same way I talk. Sorry.

The people who stop dead in their tracks are annoying, as are the people who park their carts side by side and have a conversation in the middle of the aisle. Better yet are the drivers who stop in the middle of the road to have a conversation---a phenomenon no longer confined to Brooklyn. In the old days, a honk of the horn would only buy you an obscene gesture and continued talking, today I'd be afraid of eating a bullet. But most annoying to me is the 300 pound person who gets on the 10 item express line with 35 items, then whips out an EBT card to buy their cookies and potato chips. Then she pulls out a checkbook to pay for the cigarettes, alcohol and lottery tickets, but wants cash back necessitating a manager call. At the same time her 6 kids are running wild touching everything, and the 300 pound twin behind me keeps bumping her cart into my rear end. Someday that person behind me might end up with her entire cart dumped over her head, except that would mean I would have to pay for her food twice. |

I'm with you on that. How about the people who call 'Buena Vista Blvd." - "Bona Vista."???!!! It isn't 'Bona'. It's a Spanish word, the first syllable rhymes with 'sway'. I'm from S. Fl., & learned a little bit of Spanish from my Cuban buddies over the years. My sister worked in the Miami office of unemployment for more than 25 yrs. & 90% of her peers were Cuban, & my sis is virtually fluent in Spanish. 😎

I was not making a judgement call on how people pay for their food.

It just seems to me that there are those that pay for their food, and those that have others pay for their food. I may be jaded, but I find the latter group tends to make the worst food choices and cause the most disruption on the check out lines, especially the express lines. And I am not referring to hard working people temporarily falling on hard times, I'm only referring to those that make a career of it.

People that use public areas as a private ashtray. Smoke it, put it out completely and then put it in the trash or your pocket. It is yours not mine.
Dog owners that do not clean up after the dog. They also allow the dog to use your yard as the toilet. Nonsmoker and a two dog household here. |
