Default Little green men

How come we never hear about little green women, just men. Are the aliens
in the UFO's homosexual? I wonder how they reproduce?

I believe the "majority" are those of us who love and support our gay friends and relatives.

And please.... If you are straight... please don't shove it down my children or grand children's throat as if it is the only way to be! I don't want them to grow up believing there is something wrong with being gay. You see... or maybe you don't... I want my friends and family to be happy!

I WANT my children and grandchildren to grow up watching people kiss and hold hands. All people... same sex, opposite sex and interracial..

What a wonderful world it would be....

A bigger concern is whether THEY want to watch that, especially in their mother or father.

I've seen too much of that selfishness, where the kids and spouse are dumped and publicly humiliated by a parent who decides their new-found sexuality and publicly displayed desires come first, gay pride comes second, and the kids are lucky if they're a distant 4th or 5th place in that parent's life.

Like many who post here, Bille always has a fairness about him and a kindness too and is entitled to his opinions and he expresses them VERY well.

first, to I Love the Villages, thank you for the wonderful post a few pages back from the catechism of the catholic church...it is clear that there is no hatred involved and only empathy for those who experience the homosexual lifetime. it makes me proud to be catholic, and ironically it is not very different from what i quoted Edgar Cayce as saying about the subject (surprised no one directly replied to either of our posts except to say that i am apparently not a bible-believing Christian). and rubicon, i always admire the intelligent and sensitive way you express your opinions and thoughts. the political ramifications of the court overruling the will of the majority of californians is really the important topic here. but then we are not allowed to discuss politics.

Since the Bible has been quoted on this, I thought I would share this, I loved it when I first read it

Marriage equality returns to California. The plaintiffs in the prop eight case were the first couple married today in San Francisco, as soon as a judge lifted the ban. City Hall will be open all week-end to process marriage licenses.

Discussion in the car with friends on the way to dinner tonight.

About what percent of the total population is gay would you think?

Very hard question to answer. Here's a link to a study done in 2011 by LGBT.
Think the numbers would actually be higher based upon the fact that some have not come out.

Default don't know%

Last night at the Waterfront, there was a beautiful, enthusiastic celebration of the ruling. We don't know % and don't care. We enjoy meeting new people without care for orientation. However, I am so happy that there is an active rainbow group here. After 44 years, we are enriched by the wonderful people we meet. I hope that others, as committed, will experience that same joy in meeting others.

According the the 2010 census there were around 12 million self proclaimed LGBT members. The number would be lower that the actual number do to various people not wanting to disclose their sexuality.

I'll let Zach Wahls answer that concern for me... I think he can do a better job than I can.

Kumbaya is an aside. The decisions concerning this issue has nothing to do with prejudice, phobics ,judgments. Proponents will accuse those opposed as being homophobic and to that charge I say you just lost your argument because you have no argument.

It has to do with the sociological, well being of our nation. However if you review all of the posts those opposed speak to the sociological implications while proponents well its all kumbaya
It may make some feel well "swell" but Justice Kennedy just opened up Pandora's box.

Gays have ALWAYS been here! Nothing changes except they get equal rights under the law.
