Default Half time

I remember the costumes. Was there singing? My eyes are much better than my hearing.

I'b be willing to bet that your granddaughters (especially if they are teenagers) wear less to any public pool or beach.

And Beyonce's dancing & moves were no more suggestive than Elvis Presley's on the Ed Sullivan show......more than FIFTY years ago.

I'm not a Beyonce fan by any means. I'm stuck on 60s & 70s classic rock, and always will be.......but like her or not you can't deny she has lots of talent.

Just lighten up a little, people. This world would be a boring place if we all liked the same thing.

Regardless of the content , The show is way too long. I was interested in football . If I wanted to see 1/2 hour of a MTV type musical , I would have gone there.
Now for the National Anthem. Why do we need the likes of Steven Tyler, Roseanne, or even someone as talented as Alicia torturing our anthem to showcase their personal ego. MHO

I thought it was a magnificent performance. The Superbowl half time is all about the entertainment, glitz, glamor, allure, sexiness, music, and capturing your attention. Seems to me a lot of people who did not like it watched it intensely enough to decide it was not appropriate. This was not the Lawrence Welk show. Big bucks in the Superbowl equals big performers and provacativeness on the stage, which in turn keeps you glued to your seat to watch the multi multi million dollar commercials. I thought the purpose of the Superbowl was sexy peformers and car ads with a few touchdowns to keep the betting pools alive, and once again, it served its purpose. The Superbowl and Corporate America are a marriage made in heaven...oh oh, is that a legal union? Wrong thread....

The best rendition of God Bless America (The real National Anthem) I ever heard was Smokey Robinson during one of the World Series games years ago. Could have been when Detroit was in the WS.

Give us Paul, Bruce or Mick and the Stones. Don't need bouncy boobs or wardrobe malfunctions to be entertained.

I enjoyed it. Like the theme of women empowerment. Don't really see the pole dancer analogy.

Get ready for Bon Jovi in the next Super Bowl at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. You won't ahve to worry about skimpy outfits because it will be cold.

Whitney Houston rendition of the Star Spangled banner was the best I ever heard at Super Bowl XLV, (not good at roman numerals, 45?)

The bigger the spectacle = the less that music matters = classic sleight of hand. My criticism is not because of style of music (though I am not a big fan of modern pop)...I am pretty tolerant of most well delivered music despite style issues. Still - Beyonce should go back to lip singing. This wasn't a music set...it was a circus parade masquerading as a song - Liberace pretending to be Beethoven - Kincaid thinking he is Picasso

OMG, and these poor young children will no doubt be scarred for life, and for sure are destined to become strippers. LOL

How silly can you get?

Would be cool if the Jets played the Giants in the 48th Super Bowl. Highly unlikely I know.

You could be right about Bon Jovi. Bon Jovi a good bet for the 2014 halftime show | NJ.com

One of the worst halftime shows had to be in 2011 at Cowboys Stadium. They had The Black Eyed Peas, Usher, Slash, Dallas/Ft. Worth-area area high school drill teams and dancers. Give me a break it was a total joke.

The NFL should have just brought out a couple flat bed semi's for the electronics and have Billy, Dusty and Frank aka ZZ Top do their thing. Now that would have been better than anything the NFL has put out in recent years.
