Why dont you run on over to Home Depot on 441 and see if there is a black Ford 500...white guy, early 30's in it...best chance is that possibly he is working at Home Depot. Good luck McGruff....
Always quick to paint all police with the same brush but also so quick to excuse himself for failing to act like a concerned citizen by taking any minimal effort to draw law enforcement to a questionable situation .

Get back to me after you find out what to say next.
You just made my case. It does NOTHING to help PREVENT drunk driving!

Just today there was a dude (at about noon) in his black four door Ford 500...smoking a crack pipe and blowing the smoke out the window. He was in the car behind me (stopping at ALL the lights that were timed by a typical ignorant govt employee). He finally turned in towards Home Depot...yeah, I am sure he is a safe driver as well.

And, to further prove your are an idiot. MANY times a drunk driver will leave a scene...get away and SOBER UP...thus, DUI charges are futile.
The proof that you are the IDIOT is...that you fail to the grasp the difference between preventing deaths and the apprehending and arresting suspected drunk drivers!

So much for my thoughts of an intelligent and serious dialog. Comments like that lower the precieved IQ of the Villages community.

Thanks again for getting involved.

I know you don't care as long as your safe. Drunk driving is a problem, not getting involved is a problem.

I hope no one got hurt. I have turned in drunk drivers.

The fact is he was driving just fine...maybe high as a kite, but driving fine. I didnt get rear ended...so be it. Now, if he was driving lane to lane and showing an impairment...I would have considered making a call. But, I would not hold my breath in waiting for a cop to show up. PLUS, if he was pulled over on just my word - any lawyer north of Leo Goetz would get the charges tossed.

Want to see what drivers are a terror? Look at the idiots in the squares, at Publix, most parking lots...and more often than not should NOT be driving due more to age than booze (or crack)

And you are calling me an idiot because I said registering cars does help prevent drunk driving. It helps the police but they can't do it alone. You can report a crime anonymously 800 423 TIPS.

Um, I dont believe ANY "statistics" the Govt. creates to fit what ever need they have. And, "Statistics" prove that "drunk driving" is at an all time high. Mostly because they keep lowering the bar thank to pathetic special interest groups like MADD and others. Sure does "feel good" to legislate and control by fines and fees - when the reality is there is no tangible proof of anyone being any safer (but many families are driven to poverty, homelessness, joblessness and starvation trying to fight "the man").

Dont let reality get into the way of delusion.

Handguns should be registered, a very liberal stop and frisk law enacted regardless of personal rights, and permitting to carry a concealed weapon be more in depth. None of these would prevent so called "good guys" from obtaining and carrying a handgun. I don't know how in hell getting control over all the handguns already out there in the wrongs hands is going to be accomplished but I know flooding the country with more guns is not the answer. Maybe you're ok with your wife, children, grandchildren, etc all carrying a handgun but that is not a community I want to live in. Just another opinion.
So, you feel that the 2nd Amendment is wrong and apparently you do NOT believe in the 4th Amendment at all. And you are not a liberal?

My wife does not carry concealed but knows how to use a handgun. My daughter carries concealed and my grand kids all practice shooting and some of them are hunters, including my 12 yr old grandson. I have had a gun since I was about 13 and have been carrying a gun most of my life. I have never had an accident with one, my daughter has not and as far as I know, neither has my grandkids.

But, you should fear the NRA because somehow they are responsible for all the bad things that happen related to guns.

OK....

I think Bernie has a sensible balance on this subject. I know he doesn't matter anymore as a candidate. But I admire how his views are not perfectly in line with all liberals. Agreeing with the NRA cost him an election years ago. But he would rather loose then be a hypocrite. What more can you ask of a person? You don't see that around here.

I have it by good authority that all of the hoodlums in South Chicago are members of the NRA....

My head is spinning trying to follow the logic of many of the Posters on this area of TOTV .

Some people seem to be arguing both for and against the same issue .

When someone presents data -- hard data from a credible site all the Polar Opposite does is just dismiss the data over and over again .
It`s impossible to have a constructive discussion here . It`s just food-fights and name calling .
What`s the point ? It`s an out of control Birthday Party for 9 year old boys .

I think that it all depends on if Win-Dixie has BYGO Gin in the liquor dept. But, you are correct. And as far as "credible" on the internet....right off the bat that excludes CNN, NBC, Huffington, NYTimes, AOL...and yes FOX and on and on and on...(almost at the top is TOTV if you want functional discussion)

B.S.

Bernie is a fruit cake and everyone that knows him, says he is a mean person and hard to get along with. He was a Democrat sponsored joke that backfired on them, because the children endorsed him. He was for the NRA because his state was. His state (WHERE HE GETS ELECTED) has very few gun control laws. What would you expect him to say? I think you have it wrong. I think he would rather be a hypocrite than lose.
