I believe this string is about multiple shooting...this list is off the subject. However the S names for all shooters is longer than this. 64% of all gun violence is at the hands of a male.

See post #25. I believe the list is just evidence that we are all in this together. Using stats to slant or divert the topic is a favorite of the liberals on here. Trying to insinuate that all violence is white male based, is totally skewing the topic and perverting fact.

Please show me where I stated ALL or insinuated that all violence is white male based. In Colorado 100% of multiple shooter events were at the hands of a male and 90% percent were white. That is just a fact not slanted just fact.

And why is it that anyone who disagrees with the general theme of this forum is labeled a liberal. There are conservative Democrats who might be to the left of you but not the preferred term now Progressive.

I learned early if you used the word ALL to make a point the argument was lost!

Yes, the PC way to word it is to omit "all" or "must." Don't you just hate it when someone disagrees with you? As far as "conservative Democrats" is concerned, that phrase has turned into an oxymoron. I believe my dad was the last conservative democrat. That species is "all" but extinct. Perhaps it is time for liberals to come out of the closet and just go with a more descriptive label, socialist. But, I believe that we have strayed from the topic again.

I have faith in the general population of Americans to do what is right when they are needed.

I do not have an ounce of faith for ANYBODY who needs to include an R or D in anything they do, discuss, believe or continue to jam down everybody else's throats. These radical views on how to run or live in our America do not represent a true picture of the real make up of America.

It is too bad we have a media and political system that communicates as if what they say is reality when we all know it is not. What they have to say is what they want America to be.....thank GOD so far we still out number them and still have our America.

My negative thought is that as the America of the past grows older and dies away those who have nothing invested in or just came to our shores for other than noble reasons in addition to the born in America generation that just doesn't care about the values of the past.......then America will surely begin to fade and die.

Just look back at the last 20 years. We have progressed technologically and deteriorated or at best remained stagnant.

We the people, the silent majority are still the majority. We do have time to take America back to it's core values. Acknowledge the minority efforts and needs......but do not let them continue to get away with that which we do not support.

While we still are the majority!

Let'e explore this just a bit. I remember when the liberal label was thrown out as insult now that word isn't getting the job done anymore so you've moved on to another....SOCIALIST. I seem to remember when Reagan went around the country vowing to shutdown social security because it is a socialist program.

Do you live in The Villages? Then you know its a socialist community. I don't live here all year round but I am still charged my amenity fee, for example even though I am 1800 miles away for 4 months.

If you live here then, most likely, you could be receiving a Social Security check, yet another socialist program. And if you are over 65 you must be enrolled in Medicare yet another socialist program.

So if I were you I really wouldn't be using that word as an intended insult cause that would be hypocritical and I know you wouldn't want to be a hypocrite now would you!

But me and everybody I know, we do not get on single thing living in TV for free. Or subsidized. It is one hundred percent paid for by the individual resident.

Dear OP:

You have part of your answer by the responses given following your original post. Its called "a short attention span" There are unfortunately not enough deep thinkers in America any longer. In fact I have said in the past that educational institutes teach our kids to emote but not to think. The episodes recently at a number of universities wherein the students demand "safe spaces" is an unfortunate result .

Hence a shooting these days or any political or social issue for that matter means to many to emote, then blink, then deflate but never to follow the issue to the negative affect the issue has on society as a whole.

Another reason, too many people don't understand that life is a series of trade offs and the best a person can do is prioritize those trade offs. Coupled with the need to trade off these same people do not understand the application of Occam's Razor (ie the simplest answer is the answer) as they too often go chasing rainbows.

Another reason, too many people do not understand that nature has limits. For instance they don't understand that money really doesn't grow on trees.

Another reason, like our politician who don't read , absorb ,etc before voting too many posters ignore what has been written or dismiss it because their opinion is all that matters. You witnessed that with your post because they did not counter point or even elaborate on post

Like you I am becoming weary and frankly wary of posting on political talk because there are just not a sufficient number of deep thinkers willing to point counter point and unfortunately far too many jesters.

You might not view it as a socialist program but it is because you can pay into all your working life and not collect the total amount you contributed or you can receive more money than you contributed.

Then there are the people who are means tested and don't get a dime.

You could have taken your money and invested it for yourself, that by definition is capitalist but instead the Federal Government took your money and put it in a big pot for all to share.....= socialist.
