I tire of reading posts in this forum, written by supposedly intelligent people, that misdiagnose the problem with Obamacare. It is the cost of healthcare and the fact such a large percentage of people are not paying for it that are the root causes, period. The cost of healthcare is one of the major reasons we have lost manufacturing jobs in this country. The system is already 50% single payer. We either need to roll that back or go 100%. I'm not a liberal or socialist but a realist.

The framers of this " system " knew that this was nothing but a plan to move the cost of the uninsured onto the backs of those who had been paying for their insurance .

This is why Chief Justice Roberts called it a " Tax " when the Court was asked to Rule on it`s legality . He stated " The Federal Government has the right to impose a Tax " .

Do you have the slightest clue as to why health care is so costly? Do you comprehend the cost of research? The cost of FDA's blessing? The cost of staffing a facility? The cost of litigation? The fact that some lives are simply not worth what we spend trying to extend them?

Just about EVERYONE on medicaid. The minorities. We "cure them" so we can keep paying for their food and housing? Why? So they can keep being violent?

Well the first of all the basic problem is that of denying insurers the right to underwrite. As an example you actually have people who will not buy insurance until they get sick. then when they are well enough they drop their coverage. The second problem is the interference of government between doctor and patient as to care and cost. simply stated ACA was designed to fail because its designers wanted a single payer system all along.... so ACA was a devious way of going about it.

A single payer system will degrade as did the VA.

ACA is deeply flawed and we would have been better off to leave insurance the way it had operated and focus on the uninsured finding ways to cover their needs. Now the entire population has been adversely affected.

MOST people who pay for health insurance between 18-40 are wasting their money. This is not to be confused with liability/auto insurance - possibly a major medical plan if they have a family history. But, insurance to cover pap's for women and nothing for men? Waste.

Someone else pays their way...how do you think "their needs will be covered"? ONLY those who pay for insurance are affected...the poor are now housed, fed, AND they have medical coverage...all free. So they can destroy ANOTHER neighborhood with their poverty and violence. We're throwing MORE good money after bad.

You conveniently fail to mention medical industry had us all by the short hairs long before Obamacare. Manufacturing was moving in great part because of cost of employee health insurance. I worked in that now dead part of the private sector and know what the actual facts are.
