I can count on the fingers of one hand the number of times I have overheard others having political conversations in The Villages.

If you're looking for well thought out, intelligent discourse addressing the issues confronting the country, you will not find it here. Some the typical threads that demonstrate an intelligent, nuanced command of the issues include: "republicans are mean spirited", "Why are democrats so foolish?", or "republican hypocrites".

Sadly, the political forum is made up of a large number of baiters who are masters at it. They do it for their own pleasure, indeed you could go blind trying to make sense of it all.
Ah-hah....so these are the master baiters!

Sorry about that. You try to convince that you are Independent for what reason? There is NO Independent party. There is only Democrat or Republican. You can't even vote in the primaries in most states as an Independent. But, you know that. You are just the forum pet troll that likes to bait and get attention. Well, you got your five minutes of attention. Bye now.

Why do the people here keep trying to stick the "liberal" tag on anyone that doesn't agree with them 100% of the time? Are they trying to fool themselves into believing there are only two ways of thinking far right or far left? Since when (2009) is a Republican only far right, and a Democrat far left? Strange as it seems, there are clear thinking people that don't think that their way is the only way. I want to get attention from the likes of the people here. Why? Only people like you need attention by degrading someone else, but keep it up. It fits you well.

That poster is so obvious. Nothing more than a troll. If you don't get it, or you ARE that person then a label of liberal is true. Liberals come on this forum TOTV and bait, then attempt to gain sympathy. Sorry, but that is a very old tactic that might work up North, where that liberal sits in his mom's basement, but the seniors in TV don't buy his nonsense. If you are not that same poster, then you are naive to buy his nasty little juvenile comments.

And as far as labeling someone a liberal, perhaps you should check out the definition of liberal. Calling him a liberal instead of a juvenile troll is being kind and giving him the benefit of doubt.
