Default Key Scales Ford

I rarely post bad but today it just blew my mind. Have dealt with Key Scales Ford for years new car every 2 or 3 years. So today call to make an appointment for a simple oil change I can't believe she said it would be 2 weeks. after my shock she said I could come in and wait but may be 4or5 hours before could get to it. I will for sure not be buying another from them. Sumter tire and auto in Wildwood did it right away.

It's a bad service writer. I called for a loose piece of appearance trim on my Ford Transit Connect...same thing two weeks. Called the Ford dealer in Belleview described the problem and was invited in immediately. 10 minutes and back on the road. That person is costing them $$$Big Money$$$.

While I have a real axe to grind with Village Ford (significant problems with the service department), I started with key Scales. I have a problem with the paint on my 2012 Mustang, and after multiple trips to the dealer, and multiple calls directly to Ford, it turns out both are walking away from the problem. While I understand the dealer cannot support the repair without Ford support, I did not experience the above reported wait times. My air bag was replaced in less time then estimated.
On a side note the paint repair (four dime to quarter sized bubbles) on the aluminum hood will cost be $1500 to $1700, I am going to wait until the paint flakes off then figure out what I want to do.

Had the same problem with a Company car. A Ford Taurus, the hood, the roof & the trunk lid bubbling up. Turns out it was from the deodorant the men were wearing when they painted a whole lot of cars. Thru the suite it reacted with the paint and goofed up many vehicles. They repainted the entire car for free. I love Ford but the paint jobs are not top notch. My F150 was black and had swirl marks that nobody could remove and they would not repaint the truck. Lesson learned, no more black vehicles and never accept delivery in the rain. Good Luck VT you deserve better.

I've had excellent service and reasonable appointment times at Key Scales, but didn't want to wait (a couple of days) for an oil change.

Sumter Tire in Wildwood is a fantastic, real mechanic shop where I get my tires and oil changes and non-warranty work done.

Maybe Key Scales is booked up with lots of recall appointments.

I've been going through this with Key Scales Ford eve since i bought my 2014 F150. I'd make an appointment for an oil change, arrive early and sit for 3 to 4 and half hours for them to change the oil, WITH AN APPOINTMENT! I've called the service manager, and general manager and NOTHING has ever gotten better. I thought the new service department would mean more techs and better service, but I was wrong. I called about a recall notice so I could get the truck fixed, they said to wait until I got the second notice. Time for a new dealership.

I'm incredulous that any dealership would tell someone that they have to wait weeks for an oil change.

I stopped at Phillips on a whim while driving by one day and they had me in and out with an oil change...within 40 minutes!

I bought my vehicle there and will be looking at them for the next one too.

Last year I tried several times to get an appointment for servicing a car that I leased from Key Scales. The first time I was told that someone would call me beck...they never did. The second time I called it was the same experience...no call back. I received an email from them later asking me how my experience was with them. I filled it out explaining the problems...never heard back. But I was determined so I tried again and was told someone would call me back. This time I objected and out of frustration told her that this keeps happening and that I will just go to another dealer. Her comment to me was, "You just do that, have a nice day!" and hung up. Need I say more!

At least they have a "new and improved building" to wait in.
