When 13% of the population accounts for over 1/2 of the murders wouldn't it stand to reason they're going to have more violent interactions with the police?

13% of the population...but averaging 50% of the deaths.

Except this year, of which they are running...75% of the deaths.

And no breakdown of those...that were armed or unarmed.

Thanks for proving me correct and exposing yourself...at the same time!

A twofer.

Black men disproportionately (relative to their representation in the population) commit crimes in the USA. They are disproportionately engage by police, courts, jails due to their higher involvement in crime - not racism or discrimination.

"www" channel4.com/news/factcheck/factcheck-black-americans-commit-crime

From the article summary: "black Americans are more likely to commit certain types of crime than people of other races."

Thanks for posting that Daily News report with copies of his police and court records. It was startling. (I’m not going to stick up, though, for the cops who killed him.) The bloodwork from the police autopsy also shows that he was high on Fentanyl at the time of his death and had methamphetamine in his bloodstream. These things should all be taken into consideration, given the attempt to canonize him. He wasn’t a saint.

Maybe because of this:

“Do you know that Negroes are 10 percent of the population of St. Louis and are responsible for 58% of its crimes? We’ve got to face that. And we’ve got to do something about our moral standards,” Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. told a congregation in 1961. “We know that there are many things wrong in the white world, but there are many things wrong in the black world, too. We can’t keep on blaming the white man. There are things we must do for ourselves.”

Sounds like his new life in Minnesota was the same as his old life in Houston but colder.

I'm not defending what the officer did but I would point out that we don't have all of the facts. There are reports about what happened prior to the video that we see that we have seen that may change things.

One of the things about him yelling that he couldn't breathe is that suspects often say that when being subdued. I think that police are trained to ignore it because if a person is yelling, he's breathing. If a person truly cannot breathe then cannot vocalize.

We may disagree on a lot of things, but hopefully, we can agree on this:

Thanks for the ACTUAL graph of violent crimes categorized by race. We can't start qualifying a human being to determine if a police murder is no big deal. Floyd's past should have no bearing on his killing. A life is a life, it's that simple. Once we start separating people into piles of "deserve to be killed" and not, may be on a one way road.

Who was George Floyd?

Apparently a former armed robber and ex con who was turning over a new leaf by using fentanyl and meth while passing out counterfeit twenties.
