It's because that was an effective vaccine...` It seems to me, that the old, egg based vaccines worked and the newer M-RNA based vaccines are not yet ready for prime time...

All you are doing is trying to parse out the 5% failure rate that was initially stated into what they are now saying. Which is that they NEVER said it would prevent one from catching covid, and that it would only lessen the severity and death rate... That is patently incorrect...

Because they actually prevented one from catching the disease and the new ones don't...
There is an entirely different process in obtaining the immune response between using an attenuated virus and using the M-RNA technique... Could live attenuated vaccines better control COVID-19? - PMC

Dr. Walensky, in this linked video up-thread, did not say NO ONE would get Covid if they were vaccinated. She just did not say that and I never heard any other scientist or doctor, including Dr. Fauci, say that. I guess people hear what they WANT to hear.

The mRNA vaccines may not prevent the disease but they certainly do a great job of preventing severe infection in people who had a good response to the vaccine. Those unfortunate people who are immunocompromised and had little or no response from the mRNA vaccines are the people who do not benefit from those vaccines.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OrjMLONm-Bw At the 5:40 mark: Fauci: "If you're vaccinated you don't have a risk. If you're vaccinated you're safe, if you're unvaccinated you're at risk." Do you need to consult with a physician to determine the meaning of that? Some people just don't want to face the fact that they were fooled. |

According to a study published in the Journal of Infectious Diseases in 2022, among the top 18 symptoms of long COVID, 50 percent of them are neuropsychiatric ones, including memory problems, sleep problems, brain fog, anxiety, depression, smell or taste disorders, dizziness, and headaches. An article in the journal Science suggests that vaccination may also cause rare symptoms similar to those of long COVID. These symptoms can have a significant impact on people’s daily work and life.

And for the umpteenth time, NO ONE has ever claimed that NO ONE would ever get covid if vaccinated. I most certainly didn't do it... They DID claim (including Walensky, when citing the Israeli studies) that there would be protection against infection 95% of the time... 95% ≠ 100% And certain very high ranking politicians (who shall remain nameless, lest I get another vacation) and famous news casters DID say that "if you got the shot, you would NOT catch the virus"...
