Would never consider taking it or any other of those shots.

It is a shame that some of the people who have been killed by the virus are unable to give us their opinion on whether they should have taken the vaccine and booster.

There is proof COVID kills, causes: long term hospitalization, illness, blood clots, brain fog, micro strokes, long COVID, etc. The vaccines reduce the risks, likelihood of infection and transmission to others ad well as the severity when infected. Your choice to drive without seatbelts or not take a vaccine. [ Last edited by Altavia; 09-23-2022 at 04:14 PM. |

I wonder if there was this much hostility to the polio vaccine when it came out. My mom had polio and I got the shot as soon as it was available.
I haven't had the flu since I was a kid but I get a shot every fall. I know it's only 50% effective or so but it's free. I got the shingles vaccine, both the old and new one. My brother had shingles not long ago and was miserable for quite a while. I got the Hepatitis A & B vaccine. Before COVID I traveled alot and my doctor recommended it. I've had both pneumonia shots that supposedly give lifetime immunity to those over 65. I've had the first 4 covid shots and I'll get the booster soon. It seems to help more people than it hurts. Haven't been sick in years. Maybe it's luck. Maybe the vaccines help. I'll keep trusting the medical profession. I expect they know more than people who aren't in the business. |

I was able to get the new COVID booster vaccine last week, which was my 5th shot overall, the 3rd booster. I had no side effects other than a tender vaccination site. We have continued to be on the more cautious side, but thankful that neither of us have had COVID that we know of. We will continue to do whatever is deemed safe, not just for us, but for all those we come in contact with as well. For what it's worth, my physician is recommending the updated booster for nearly all her patients, excluding a minimal few for whom it could be problematic.

I’m confused, you have had 2 Moderna + 2 boosters? 4 jabs? And now considering a 5th in 2 years - yikes. I’ve had a total of 3 and not planning on anymore. Looking back they said if we all get 2 jabs all would be good.

Looking back that is what they said but the virus decided to mutate into omricon and the new pfizer booster protects against it.

You mean the one tested on eight mice? Good luck!

That's like saying, if they did crash testing on blue cars, you don't know how red cars will perform...
Safety and efficacy did not change significantly from the initial vaccine Phase I trials of 30 and then 300 people over two years ago. Nor in the 35,000 enrolled in Phase Iii trials. For both companies. Same results for other varients recently tested in humans. They changed the formulation match the currently active varients. Same as for flu vaccine. |
